Cloaking
This is a topic not widely discussed in the witchcraft community. Cloaking is the art of concealing your magical work from others. It hides your magical energetic signature, blocks spy’s & prevents people from trancing the spell work back to you. It’s a form of protection.
So how do you cloak your work?
Consider first what you are doing & the spell method you have chosen. Is it a jar spell, a poppet, a candle spell, knot magick, mirror work etc then choose the cloaking technique that matches.
Here are some examples to get you started:
Poppy seed: poppy seed has the power & influence of illusion, confusion, mystery & invisibility. It helps conceal magical signatures & makes it very difficult to trace spells back to you. It is excellent for blocking spy’s & tends to cause headaches, dizzy spells &,confusion when someone tries to bypass it. Use poppy seed in candle magick, mojo bags, bottles & rituals. It’s also useful when worn to stop others from tracking you. I tend to wear some in a poison ring (rings that’s open to reveal a hidden chamber that you can place herbs, small crystal chips & more inside). You can also use lockets, scroll necklaces & pouches in the same way.
Masks: By enchanting a mask you can hide your appearance. Where the mask during rituals that use mirrors, obsidian & during astral travel. Particularly if you plan to dream walk. It will hide your face & conceal your identity.
Sigils: Sigils are a handy way to block prying eyes & stop divination being used to learn things about you. Design a sigil that shrouds you in darkness, mist & fog. Blocking anyone who attempts to use divination or scrying techniques. All they will see is darkness!
Sigils can be turned into servitors that can be programmed with the task of attacking those who try to spy on you. Activating when someone eyes on upon you. I use this as a form of baneful warding. This technique is handy for when you prefer to put people off & wish to warn them that it isn’t good idea to spy on you.
Sigils can also be drawn on your body using eye liner pens or body paint or skin safe oils. Again designed to block spy’s, hide your magick & energy & to conceal your movements.
Poppets: Poppet & doll magick is handy for all sorts of spell work both positive & baneful. But in order for this type of work to be affective you must name the doll after your target. Linking them to the doll. What is done to the doll will manifest in the targets life. But by doing this they can use the doll to see through its eyes, to track you & looking into your sacred space. There fore it is recommended that you blind fold the doll. The blind fold should be coated in oils designed to blind, block & shroud. You can also layer with sigils that can be drawn onto the fabric using fabric pens. This will stop them seeing what you are doing & discovering who you are & when you keep the doll.
Vailing: Vails are typically used to protect you from the evil eye & psychic attack but they can also be enchanted to hide your energy & to protect from spy’s. Dress the vail with oils, sigils & sprays. Don’t be afraid to experiment with old techniques with new ideas.
Body paint: Choosing only dark colours you can cover your face around the eyes, coat your hands & arms with it. This technique conceals energy, gender & skin. Enchant the paint to protect you from manipulation, spying, divination techniques & scrying.
Door reef: The typical reef is round with a hole in the middle. Perfect for teleportation, portals & traps. You can make a reef or buy one, to enchant it to swallow spirits, servitors & entities sent to spy or intel gather. Sending them into a trap or to another place entirely so they never make it past the front door. This is one of my favourite techniques. I have a reef for each season & I charge it each time I change the reefs over. Each one linked to a different place that I send spy’s too.
This list is not complete & I have kept some thing to myself, no witch ever gives out all their secrets but these should be enough ideas to get you started.
