ST. ❤︎ DRAGONS GIRL (Pt 2)
Volumes 2-4

OKAY!!
I’m such a stupid sucker for these kinds of stories. It’s so cheesy and silly, there’s moments of emotional build up ends up as a joke, and the slap stick abuse as a joke isn’t my favorite. I especially don’t like how the main guy is called perverted and often beat up, sometimes provoked, mostly not. I really think tropes like that need to be left in the 90s.
BUT, I can’t lie. I’m loving it. It reminds me of being a teenager and reading the silliest series and just having fun with it. I’m so used to reading series with serious emotional weight and critical thinking. It’s nice to turn my brain off once in a while and watch a cute girl do some dick king fu with a magical dragon.
I think my favorite chapter so far was the one with the wedding dress (chapter 11) it was relatively simple over all, but the art and story in this one got me by the teeth. The story of a wedding dress, that every night snakes come and cry around it, as well as possessing whoever wears it to destroy their love life. It’s a banger.

Overall, I think this would be enjoyable to most people, but also extremely forgettable. The praise I give it for being a simple read, is also its biggest downfall. The lack of any real threats or mystery make it go into one ear and out the other.

Enjoy it for what it is. Just don’t expect too much.

Every now and then I remember the shoujo manga Kitchen Princess and how utterly insane it was and still is that one of the heroine’s love interests was suddenly killed off for real.
To this day, I wonder if this happened because the openly affectionate Sora was more popular than the emotionally constipated Daichi…

Happy Sunday!
I am SO incredibly excited for this week because I’ll be interviewing the very lovely Mei Amaki, the translator of Magical Girl Dandelion! This has been such a special series to me, and being able to interview her feels surreal! I hope you will look forward to it, as well as all these videos! 🤗
Cheers to a wonderful week, friends! 🧡
Really really great volume of The Eccentric Doctor of the Moonflower Kingdom!
Teared up at the end and thought it very interesting that it went in depth about female health! (We even see Koyou give a pelvic exam!)
I’m invested to see what happens next!!

Had to grab the Yona volume 47 special edition that came with this lovely artbook! 😊

Shoujo romance anime releases are hitting good this year so far. The dub is soooo funny. Also, Suzuki and Tani remind me of the main Wotakoi couple

Ok so I’ve recently started reading April Showers Bring May Flowers and this might just be my daddy issues talking but
Why’s the teacher kinda fine?

After reading manhwa for so long I’ve forgotten how AMAZING manga is and how much more tailored to manga I am than manhwa. Like damn I’ve missed this feeling manga gives me. The story structure and the way the panels fit on the page is just so fun to look at.

New episode discusses all eight volumes of MIXED VEGETABLES by Ayumi Komura.
Hanayu wants to be a sushi chef, but her father expects her to take over the family pastry shop. Hayato wants to be a pastry chef, but is expected to take over his family’s sushi restaurant.
