I work in food service again now and the establishment sells juices. Unfortunately, they throw away all fruit pulp used after making juices.
[[MORE]]It kills me inside honestly bc its basically throwing away perfectly edible food.
Sometimes the pulp creates a nice apple-sauce texture from fruit like pinapples and apples. Other times, it creates a great chopped-like texture that can be dried, crushed, and used as additives. I try to eat as much of the pulp as i can but i cant always nor do i want to. And while my first suggestion of composting cant be dont by the owners or me rn, throwing out lbs of fruit pulp daily is just a waste of everything (potential product, money, space, etc).
Ill have to suggest they add fruit jerky to the menu. Some idea is terribly needed.
