Target Putty Trip
There is a new brand of putty at Target now - J'adore Putty or “Target’s Brand” as they are trying to market it since they don’t list the actual company that makes it other than in small print on the back. There are currently 5 different types of putty with 4 types in each. They have scented with polymer clay beads, illusion, color changing, clear and holographic. I currently have one scented, one illusion and one holographic. They are only $5 for a tin of 2.3 oz putty which is alot compared to Crazy Aaron’s putty tins which are around 2 oz for $9.99 in the same exact store. My current rating of them is a 5/5, even though they rip easily and are pretty sticky at first, they are amazing quality for the price, especially with the variety too. I’m hoping they will eventually make more than what is available, but I’m pretty certain that this is a temporary pop-up that won’t last very long and only runs for a bit before disappearing and being forgotten about. Regardless, I am so excited for this new brand and to try more as they each have different textures, colors and hardnesses and are significantly more accessible than other brands like Crazy Aaron’s which is a bit more expensive, Mindware which isn’t sold in-store anymore and is only found online with a dwindling options, and theraputty which can also only be bought online for around the same price as Crazy Aaron’s.
I also got the chance to get a better look at Crazy Aaron’s new putties. I saw rumors of the new mini tin and I’m super excited to try one out since there are so many different options to get. I am a bit dissapointed since it is in the ‘blind box’ style where I can’t actually choose, but I think any of them would be great. They are priced at the usual of $3.99, which is not bad, but at the time I saw them, I could only spend $1,0 and I chose to try the new putty brand. I already have a bunch of Crazy Aaron putty anyway and I’d rather go through each to decide which I would want most than just buy it right away, not knowing my chances or what was good.
I am also very very excited for the new liquid glass medium tins. I’ve never been able to get the liquid glass putty since its only available in large or extra large tins and I only get the mini and medium tins of Crazy Aaron’s putty, but this gives me a chance to get my fingies on them. I really like the pictures and themes on each of them and the fact that it is organized by the color spectrum, which was a detail not lost on me. They are currently priced at $6 which is only a dollar more than the new putty that target sells, but I only bought those for now, so I will try to get one maybe next month to do a review.
Overall, it was an amazing day to love putty and find so much. I am literally rich in putty, but really I have no money
