DJP Siapkan Alat Bantu untuk Mudahkan Penghitungan PPh Pasal 21
BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Pemerintah menerbitkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 58 Tahun 2023 tentang Tarif Pemotongan Pajak Penghasilan Pasal 21 atas Penghasilan Sehubungan dengan Pekerjaan, Jasa, atau Kegiatan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi yang diundangkan tanggal 27 Desember 2023. PP tersebut mulai berlaku tanggal 1 Januari 2024.
Direktur Penyuluhan, Pelayanan, dan Hubungan Masyarakat Direktorat Jenderal Pajak, Dwi Astuti mengatakan, tujuan diterbitkannya PP tersebut untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam penghitungan pajak terutang.
“Kemudahan tersebut tercermin dari kesederhanaan cara penghitungan pajak terutang. Sebelumnya, untuk menentukan pajak terutang, pemberi kerja harus mengurangkan biaya jabatan, biaya pensiun, iuran pensiun, dan Penghasilan Tidak Kena Pajak (PTKP) dari penghasilan bruto. Hasilnya baru dikalikan dengan tarif pasal 17 UU PPh. Dengan PP ini, penghitungan pajak terutang cukup dilakukan dengan cara mengalikan penghasilan bruto dengan tarif efektif,” jelas Dwi Astuti.
Dwi Astuti menambahkan, tidak ada tambahan beban pajak baru sehubungan dengan penerapan tarif efektif. Penerapan tarif efektif bulanan bagi Pegawai Tetap hanya digunakan dalam melakukan penghitungan PPh Pasal 21 untuk masa pajak selain Masa Pajak Terakhir, sedangkan penghitungan PPh Pasal 21 setahun di Masa Pajak Terakhir tetap menggunakan tarif Pasal 17 ayat (1) huruf a UU PPh seperti ketentuan saat ini.
“DJP sedang menyiapkan alat bantu yang akan membantu dalam memudahkan penghitungan PPh pasal 21, yang dapat diakses melalui DJPOnline mulai Bulan Januari 2024. Selanjutnya pemerintah akan mengatur ketentuan lebih lanjut dalam Peraturan Menteri Keuangan yang saat ini dalam proses penyusunan tahap akhir,” pungkas Dwi.
Ketentuan selengkapnya dapat dilihat di salinan PP Nomor 58 Tahun 2023 tentang Tarif Pemotongan Pajak Penghasilan Pasal 21 atas Penghasilan Sehubungan dengan Pekerjaan, Jasa, atau Kegiatan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi yang diundangkan tanggal 27 Desember 2023.
