In 1960, ADL’s National Discrimination Director, Harold Braverman, told a Black audience at Fisk University in TN that Black ppl who support Black businesses are “anti-semitic” because supporting Black businesses hurts the profits of Jewish business owners in Black areas.

The house had been ablaze for some time now, and the people that had attended the party showed no signs of calming down. Standing on the far side of the garden, Kendo looked up at the house and took another drag from his cigarette. He’d been hanging around with Josh earlier on, but his friend had gone off somewhere else and Kendo was now no longer sure where he was. If he had any sense, he’d probably gone home. From where he was, he couldn’t see into the house through the windows but from what he could tell, the smoke was pretty thick in most of the rooms. He wondered if Lise was in there. Earlier on, he hadn’t been too bothered about anyone in there - though now he thought that might have been the alcohol in his system, because now that he was sobering up he found that he was genuinely concerned for Lise’s welfare. She’d more than likely escaped unharmed, but there was always the possibility that she hadn’t and that was playing on Kendo’s mind.
He threw his cigarette down onto the grass and stubbed it out with the toe of his shoe. He shoved his hands into his pockets and strolled back over to the back door of the house. Firemen were coming out and going back in, carrying panicked and injured people over their shoulders, and they were so preoccupied with them that they didn’t seem to notice him step back into the house after them. “Lise?” he called out, looking around the rooms as he entered them. There didn’t seem to be that many people in here anymore, although the house was so big that he could have easily just missed some. He wondered if Lise was trapped somewhere. The many negatives seemed to outweigh the positives for Kendo right now, as much as he hated to admit to himself that he cared for someone this much. The upstairs area was practically inaccessible now, so if she was up there he’d have no chance of finding her. He decided next to try the very back of the house, as there were small little rooms that she could possibly have escaped into. As he made his way over there, he passed Stephen Carrisford. At least that’s who he looked like, but he’d been moving quite fast. Kendo chuckled at how dodgy it was that a teacher was at a much-younger girl’s party, but quickly forgot about it when he remembered the task at hand.
After a couple of minutes, he’d checked every room he could access except one at the very end of the corridor. The door was open and as he peered in, his heart in his mouth at the thought of Lise being seriously injured, he was relieved to see it wasn’t her but just some guy. As he was about to turn away, Kendo realised exactly who the guy was. He’d never met him before, but he’d seen him and he knew he was Jude, Lise’s boyfriend. The guy was quite clearly injured, but Kendo didn’t care. He was quite close to being unconscious, but Kendo still heard him ask for help. Instead of doing as the guy asked, Kendo just smirked and shut the door. There was a small lock on the outside, which Kendo pressed in to ensure that Jude wouldn’t be getting out of there anytime soon.
The PGEM server is up! we (staff) will be on once in a while but we’ll play with visitors when we are. One of our best minigames is our CTT game (Capture the tower). It takes more than 1 player so be sure to bring along a friend or acquaintance or unemployed uncle. (image by Misterraviolio done in mine-imator)
