This is the project that got me back into embriodery! I never felt like I knew what to do with other kits, but this one was very good at identifying where certain base stitches would work best and why. It also gave enough space to really practice the stitch. I’ve gotten better since I finished this piece, and it’s such a relief to know that I finally figured out how to get the lazy daisy stitches to look right.

This isn’t my pattern, just my embroidery! I got the kit from StitchedStories on Etsy, and I definitely bought one of their kits for a friend who said they wanted to figure out embriodery.

In the “Meant to do this months ago, but hell yeah now it’s done” category, I finally got the back fin on the Jeff the Land Shark hat figured out properly. I published the pattern and immediately got contacted for a commission. And that’s show I found out I’d fucked up my notes on the fin.

So, finally correct! Now, just have to actually update the pattern.

So, I made a knitting chart for the hylian crest from Legend of Zelda. The colors don’t actually mean anything, they just helped me when I was making it so I could differentiate between parts. I’m putting this on a pillow (I’ll post a complete pattern of that once I’ve finished and worked out the kinks), but it can be applied to any large knitting project. Because the blocks of color are large, I would recommend using the intarsia technique for switching colors. I’ll probably be making more of these, including a smaller version of this one, so let me know what you think. I’m open to suggestions.

Might be an interesting pattern for a ‘tarot cloth’? Or even just a table cloth for when I present my deck at the exhibition
