To avoid attracting attention from humans/aliens, a cloaking system is installed in the Moditrix, making it invisible in both badge and watch mode.
This can be activated while in alien form as well.
It also prevents any tracking device from finding it’s location but only while cloaked.
Kenny: Huh? Who are you?
Trix: I am Trix Tennyson.
Kenny: Tennyson? Any relation to my father, Ben Tennyson?
Trix: I’m the daughter of Eunice and Ben Tennyson.
Kenny: What? No way! That’s impossible. My dad married my mom, Kai Green.
Trix: He did in your universe, but in mine, he’s very much endgame with my mother, Eunice.
Kenny: That’s crazy.
Trix: The multiverse can be a crazy place. Our dad had multiple love interests in his life, and there are universes where he’s endgame with each one. Because of that, I’m here to tell you that going back in time to maintain your existence is not necessary.
Kenny: It’s not?
Trix: No. In fact, you put more risk on yourself by doing so than not. While there is a universe where Dad did get with Ester in the end, that’s not the fate of your universe or mine. You can relax and sleep soundly. You’re secured.
Kenny: Um… Ok. Thanks.
Trix: Feel better now?
Kenny: Yeah. I think so. So, uh… are you, like, my half-sister?
Trix: I suppose so, in a manner of speaking.
Kenny: Do you have an Omnitrix too?
Trix: Don’t need one. I am one, and then some.
Kenny: Huh? What’s that supposed to mean?
Trix: You see, my mom is a living humanoid Unitrix, which is a less impressive version of an Omnitrix. She can copy DNA like our Dad, but can only do so one at a time, and she can’t transform like he can; she can only mimic natural powers. I’m half human and half an Omntrix version of what my mom is, but I’m innately and physiologically stronger, faster, smarter, more durable, more talented, and more potent than both in every way. I can absorb, mimic, control, and create different Omnitrices and make playlists for them inside me. Each Omnitrix has its own playlists of different powers and species. Playlists within playlists. In other words, what various Omnitrices can do with species, I can do with Omnitrices themselves.
Kenny: That honestly sounds really cool.
Trix: It gets better. I can use my senses to copy and index any species, regardless of whether it has DNA or not, is extraterrestrial or not, is a superpowered subspecies or not, is sapient or not, etc. I can either fully transform, partially transform, or just mimic abilities. I can choose one form and/or ability at a time or combine as many as I want. But I can only become sapient versions of otherwise non-sapient species. I can also freely change and control my own genders and sexualities at will, but I hardly use that. All of my abilities are limited only to my internal virtues and survival instincts.
Kenny: Whoa. You are definitely set.
Might be a hot take but the omnitrix should be able to contain non-sapient life aswell. Thinking about the watch and the multiple purposes it has, it preserving intelligent life doesn’t sit right with me at all.
Azmuths capable of creating something as advanced as the omnitrix, a level 20 tech, yet its not advanced or rather not capable of turning you into non-sapient beings? Like i get its purpose is to preserve sapient life but he cant do the same for non-sapient ones? I dont buy it. Ectonurites are one thing (due to the whole conscious within DNA thing) but for non-sapient life? Bullshit! I know about the whole biofeedback thing for the nemetrix, but still. Ben doesn’t even have to access them normally if quick changing is a problem for him. They could have him access non-sapient life via: master control.

Ive never seen Omniverse, but like, does the Omnitrix EVER work right in that show?? Every single clip ive seen shows it giving Ben a different alien than what he wanted. I know the Omnitrix was buggy sometimes but at a certain point its time to call Azmuth and get his ass to fix it
They’re alright. They’re not what I was expecting, but I could get used to them. They may be hyper-realistic, but (not trying to be bitter) I would still pick that over Omniverse’s art-style

Had an idea for an Owl House/Ben 10 AU
We start a few months after Ben and Rook witness the creation of the universe, in Gravesfield Connecticut, where a ten-year-old Luz Noceda finds what seems to be an Omnitrix replica with a cracked, greyed-out dial half-buried in the woods. Then, impulsive child that she is, she puts it on, at which point she discovers that it is both very much real and not entirely inactive because it immediately grafts itself onto her.
The relevant authorities get involved pretty quickly and it turns out that while the damage is minimal enough that the self-repair system should’ve fixed it in a couple hours, there’s an excessively powerful and complicated stasis spell on the device, one centered around what looks like a crescent moon sticker on the back. A spell so powerful and complicated that nobody can actually figure out how to safely get rid of it. Even Azmuth can’t get it off of her because it’s not active enough to accept codes.
So Luz is just stuck with a completely useless version of one of the most powerful objects in the universe attached to her arm. As if she wasn’t weird enough…
Then four years, several false leads, and a poorly-thought-out book report later, she stumbles into the Boiling Isles and hugs the stuffing out of the last living Titan, and with the spell broken the Omnitrix finishes repairing itself around when Wrath chops Eda’s head off.
(As I’m sure you’ve gathered Luz’s Omnitrix previously belonged to the Archivists. Specifically, they retrieved it from a dead universe since they needed at least one for the Archives but all the ones with active wielders are off-limits due to being too important to Reality’s continued existence. It’s damaged and inactive because that’s just what it was like when they found it. How it ended up in Gravesfield is Spoilers.
It looks like the original series Omnitrix, except that when it’s damaged all the green bits are grey and after it’s repaired it gets Stringbean’s color scheme for some reason.)
A virus that quickly adapts to any and all environments and elements. The virus’s level of infectivity is higher than that of any other virus in existence.
The virus grants the infected the powers, abilities, attributes, and features of any and all Omnitrices.
The living infected can archive the genetics of any and all beings that contain genetic codes and can change at will, instead of having a piece of machinery attached to them.
The virus is imbued with Mana and Magic, which allows it to infect even lifeforms that don’t have DNA, and the infected can archive and mimic lifeforms, whether they have DNA or not.
The infected can either change fully, partially, or only mimic the natural abilities of indexed physiologies. They can choose one form at a time or fuse as many forms as they wish. Any fused forms are more powerful than any separate forms. They can control/change their own genders and sexualities at will.
In other words, those infected by the Omnitrix virus are basically like Eunice, except instead of just being a Unitrix variation of all Omnitrices, they are all variations at their most complete and highest in quality, can become new variations, and can choose to be one variation at a time or be all of them at once. They wield the powers, abilities, and features of any/all Omnitrices but none of their malfunctions, weaknesses, and limitations.
Any offspring of the infected inherit the virus and are born with the same symptoms and abilities.
They’ve always been sort of unclear about that, with some people saying the Omnitrix turns Ben into a peak prime specimen of every species and others saying it just turns him into an average one. I generally prefer the first explanation because it’s a nice way to handwave away the logistical questions about how “if X Omnitrix species is so powerful how come they haven’t just taken over the universe or something yet?” The answer is he’s not just turning into any old aliens, he’s basically turning into that species’ equivalent of Brock Lesnar and most of the rest of that species isn’t quite that strong. That being said, when we see him as Wildmutt next to other Vulpimancers they’re twice his size so I’m not sure how canon the idea is.
Wait, so Ben’s romantic/sexual tastes change to reflect his species when he transforms? Azmuth created the Omnitrix just so he could bone down with alien chicks didn’t he.
Waiting for the episode where Ben and co are in a spaceship battle and he’s like “psh, Jetray’s got this, it’s hero time!” and then the Omnitrix turns him into Humungousaur, rupturing the hull and killing them all instantly.
The Moditrix, seen here, measures how long and how much energy the transformation(s) last. Once it times out, the face becomes white like it’s badge form until it’s recharged and returns to the wearer’s color. Switching out between transformations also costs time and energy (say 10%), so it’s best to be wise.
