TEAM ITIM ALL THE WAY🖤🏴‍☠️

One word to describe this facilitation is “GRABE.” Grabeng pamaol, grabeng hangaka, pero grabeng lingawa. This was the most intense..INTENSE?? facilitation activity I’ve experienced so far. It challenged us not only to think and work fast, but also tested our physical stamina and creativity.

To be honest, as a masakiton girly, I actually had a slight fever after this activity. My body became sore, and there was that feeling when your body feels so heavy that it just wants to drop. Plus, nadagma jud pud ko ana, that’s why 😭. I actually find it funny because I decided to be the last runner since after doing that acrobatic position in the war scene, my legs already felt so weak. Before running, I even thought to myself, “Ayaw lang jud kadagma.” But guess what? The heavens did not favor me on that part but that’s okay.

It was all worth it. Not just because our group won, but because the experience itself was memorable. It pushed us beyond our comfort zones and made us realize how teamwork, creativity, and determination play a big role in completing such challenging activities.

Through this facilitation, we were able to see how conformity and obedience can appear in group activities like this. There were moments when we followed the instructions of the facilitators without questioning kay lage we trusted the process of the activity. At the same time, within our group, we also had to adjust our ideas and actions to match the decisions sa amo team so that we could work efficiently especially considering sa time limit. This showed how people sometimes conform to group decisions and obey authority figures in order to achieve a common goal.

Conformity and Obedience

I really enjoyed this game! At first, I was a bit worried that someone might slip since the game required running (sorry, OA lang 😅). But in the end, it turned out to be a really fun and memorable activity.

It actually wasn’t my first time playing this game. Even back in SHS, we used to play this a lot. But look at me—murag bata kaayo while playing. Na-enjoy gyud nako siya.

But aside from the game itself, my favorite part was the chant. Ads lang guys—kanang chant namo nga pila ra ka minutes gi-practicesan kay na-busy kaayo ang mga tao, BWHAHA. Honestly, I didn’t expect that we would win the chant because bugal-bugal ra gyud to amo. But we still put in some effort since nag-effort pud mo during our part.

Ana gani sila, give and take lang gyud ta🫂

Thank you for making the activity fun and memorable!

The Obedience of Christ

There’s something steady and grounding about this doctrine. It quietly answers a question that sits beneath much of Christian theology: If humanity failed to obey God, how can anyone stand righteous before Him? The Christian answer is not that believers somehow repair their own obedience. Rather, the answer is Christ Himself.

The doctrine known as the Obedience of Christ teaches that Jesus…

PAINT ME A PICTURE

I believe this activity was designed to observe whether a group would conform to and obey their leader. The title may sound misleading but were not actually painting a picture. Instead, we were asked to portray a scene given by the facilitator.

The activity began with the facilitators lining up several props. Each group had to race against the others to grab the props they wanted. After that, the facilitator gave us a specific scene that we had to portray. The group then had to quickly come up with a plan on how to use the props we collected and decide how each member would act out the scene. In this part of the activity, it seemed that the facilitators wanted to observe whether the group members would conform to the ideas of their leader regarding how the props should be used and how the scene should be performed. Once the timer ended, everyone had to freeze in their final pose.

This activity made me feel like we were kids again because we were running, racing against other groups, and engaging in role-playing while acting out the scene. Every group gave their best effort, even though prizes were not mentioned at the beginning. It was fun to see everyone enjoying the activity, although all the running was quite tiring.

I don’t need to be forced. I just need to be allowed. Encouraged. Permitted.

Cheap obedience is easy and requires to please everyone. Costly obedience is hard and requires commitment to God’s will.

Conformity and Obedience

The facilitation took all our energy away—but it was all worth it because we WON!

“Go itim! Go itim! Go, go, go!”

The facilitation required us to give 100% of our energy and practice active listening. The topic was about conformity and obedience, which are closely related in many ways. In the activities, especially the game given by the facilitator, we had to conform to what was being discussed or decided by the group. Along with conformity comes obedience, because when you conform to a group, you also tend to follow the instructions given by a leader. The leader guides and supervises the group for the betterment of the whole team.

Our experience during the “Paint Me a Picture” (i forgot the activity title) activity was like a rollercoaster ride. We experienced tiredness during the freeze time, and we also had to run to get props, which was exhausting. Even so, the activity was very fun, and we learned many things from the experience.

Mission Status: SUCCESS!

Move! Give way! Group 4 is on the way!

Planning, organizing, and finally executing the program about conformity and obedience was soooo exhausting but I like to see it as a process full of lessons and new experiences.

I want to thank my groupmates, our instructor, our judges, and most importantly, our lovely participants.

Reflecting on what happened behind the scenes and in the actual program, I was once again reminded how conformity and obedience, and its subtopics are not just mere concepts—but actual experiences that we go through every second of every day, especially when we’re doing group activities.

I am sooooo excited for the upcoming facilitations. I hope to have more fun, apply what I already learned, and gain more experience along the way.

This has been your Group 4 host and Barbie World Ambassador, Sheki. 😝🩷

When Worship and Life Drift Apart

Both readings today speak with a sharpness that may unsettle us but it is the sharpness of a physician’s scalpel, not a weapon. God is not condemning for the sake of condemning. He is calling His people back to integrity, back to a faith that is lived and not merely displayed.

Through the prophet Isaiah, God addresses leaders who are very religious on the surface. They offer sacrifices. They…
