Even though modesty is a big part of how I dress and present myself, I don’t believe there is anything shameful about the body, not remotely. When Adam and Eve covered themselves, I don’t think there was nothing wrong with their physical bodies, but of how their relationship with God had changed, had become less open. I think God delights when his creations are comfortable in their bodies, why would he want us to hate something he made?

Instead, I cover myself because it gives me a sense of comfort, privacy, groundedness, and intentionality that helps me focus and go about my day the best way I can.
