Esper Origins//Summon: Esper Maduin
This card represents the moment when Terra, a protagonist of Final Fantasy VI, learns that she is the daughter of the Esper Maduin.
Surveiling (looking at cards on top of your library and putting them either back or in your graveyard) is commonly used to represent gaining information, and the flashback is quite literal here as Terra has a flashback about her father and mother meeting when she touches the Magicite containing Maduin.
Maduin’s side of the card doesn’t have any abilities he has in the game, instead providing various support effects.

um, a sketch of terra’s dad, maduin, that i spontaneously felt like drawing and coloring over.
i’ve been playing dissidia opera omnia which has a healthy heaping of terra…which made me think of maduin and how cool an esper dad he is… was. so i did it.
meanwhile, sephiroth is awkward as fuck in that, delightfully so. teaming him with seymour is a weird flex, though, but whatever…
i’m probably gonna avoid posting for a while after this. my head isn’t on straight anymore ~

Maduin is so quiet. I don’t want to leave because houses, but I’m so. freaking. lonely!
Is anyone out there? Or am I all alone?

I’ve started decorating the large fc house I got on Maduin. It’s far from done but it’s starting to come together. It’ll be like a little town. There’s a cafe, church, library, pet store, toy store, bank, inn, and bar. A couple of the ‘buildings’ are just facades but most of them you can go inside. The library is the furthest along so I included a screenshot of that. The inn takes up most of the second floor, and the bank is on the other side of the second floor. It’s been fun to build so far!

I got a large free company house on Maduin so the first thing I had to do was climb up on the roof for a screenshot. Unfortunately, it was night and the waterfall in the background is kinda not too visible lol

I tried designing FFVI characters as they would appear in Kingdom Hearts.
I’m not sure what the story behind them would be, but Terra has Maduin as as her Dream Eater (IDK if she would be a Keyblade wielder).

Avalanche WIP rencontre avec la famille
Attendez-vous à ce que Maduin intervienne dans Avalanche.
Je ne parle pas d'intervention dans le passé ou en périphérie de l'histoire, cette fois.
Maduin vient de s'imposer dans l'histoire avec son sans-gêne et son polymorphisme habituel.
Certains étaient préparés. Pas les autres.
L'Ancien va être tour à tour mère poule, père attentif, lionne surprotectrice, ancêtre avisé et parent embarrassant.
Les jumeaux sont ravis.
Cid est perplexe.
Vincent est mortifié.
“Makoto, c’est qui?” demanda Yuffie en tirant sur la manche de Vincent.
“Maduin. L’Ancien de la Famille,” répondit Vincent.
Il se redressa en sentant soudain le regard de Maduin sur lui.
Disparut les yeux changeant, cette fois, le regard de l’Ancien était devenu deux orbes dorées sans iris, ni pupille.
Il fit un pas en arrière, par réflexe, quand la créature repoussa très délicatement les jumeaux de geste mesurés, ses griffes s'allongeant sur ses mains et ses pieds, les mèches s’échappant de ses voiles se teintant de mauve. Maduin dépassait maintenant les jumeaux, ses longues cornes ajoutant encore à sa taille démesurée.
Maduin était suffisamment en colère pour en reprendre sa véritable apparence.
La seule fois où Vincent l’avait vu ainsi, c’était quand Chaos avait tenté de le ramener après sa fugue de Daguerreo et avait attaqué la Caravane pour le récupérer.
La correction que lui avait mit Maduin avait fait trembler le ciel et la terre et tous les feux de camp de la Caravane. Chaos était reparti sans demander son reste et Maduin avait reçu une lettre de leur père par la suite, présentant ses excuses pour l’attitude de son aîné et lui demandant de mettre un peu de plomb dans la cervelle du benjamin.
“Makoto Hamasaki de Daguerreo,” gronda une voix plus froide que toutes les tempêtes de Nibelheim.
Cid attrapa par réflexe Yuffie par le coude et commença à s’éloigner, faisant signe à Vincent de le suivre, mais le sniper ne s'exécuta pas, rangeant son arme et restant dos au mur.
“Bonjour, Maduin….” commença Vincent.
“Bonjour?” rétorqua la créature en fendant le groupe pour approcher de Vincent d’un pas déterminé, “BONJOUR?! Trente ans à passer pour mort et non seulement tu ne me préviens pas mais tout ce que tu trouves à dire c’est: Bonjour?!”
Oui, il va se faire enguirlander. Même Barret pensera que c'était mérité.
