LoveBrush (Pictura cards)

We can only get these cards from the gallery. They require a special currency… Dove vouchers.

I didn’t notice that they had fallen out from somewhere. But we can buy them at the store for dias… As for the tin coins… There are special battles to get them. The problem is that we only get a lot of them for the first win, and the rest are very few. So… It’s getting harder and harder to get new Pictura cards.

Pictura cards have a rank not in letters, but in stars, from 1 to 3. At least, I have not seen higher ones. As I said, all the Pictura cards are CGs from the game.

The 1-star cards from the routes

I have mostly only cards from the main part of the story.

The 2 and 3-star cards are from routes and events. Some are even with chibi.

There is no story or voiced line behind them, but we can see them during the story/event… thus, they are a kind of reminder.

They increase the Illistra cards. There is such a thing as resonance. You can add up to two Pictura cards to make your Illistra card stronger. And there are pairs of Pictura cards that works better together.

This concludes my review of the basics of the game. I’m going back to just a joking walkthrough. If you want to hear about anything else, let me know.

LoveBrush (Illistra cards)

There are two types of cards in this game.

One of them are vertical, for use in battles. They are called Illistra. And the others are horizontal, which are CGs from stories and are designed to increase the Illistra cards. They are called Pictura.

You can get them both through gacha. It’s called a Gallery here.

And besides, we can get the Illistra card at some events, by completing some daily tasks or as a gift from the developers. I don’t remember getting Pictura this way… Maybe I’m wrong.

So… To get Illistra cards from the gallery, we need Paints for time limited gacha cards or for standard cards.

I want these cute lion cubs…

And also there are low ranks cards in everyday gacha. We get 10 pulls everyday for free.

And beyond the cards, we can get the materials to increase levels of the Illistra and Pictura cards.

Low-level cards

N-cards

I don’t see any point in these cards. There’s nothing behind them at all. These are just images of side characters on a simple BG.

R-cards

These are already real cards. They have themes, they have whispers (recorded fragment) or stories. There are two or three pictures on them. The second card can only be unlocked after upgrading the card to level 60. We will be able to get the last one only after repainting… I hadn’t reached that point yet, and I am very curious about it myself.

There may be minor characters on these cards or the main cast. Related to the main routes or events.

For example, this picture we obtain during the main part of the route. Maybe it looks a little different for you, because the game allows us to choose the time of the scene…

High-level cards

Not only are these cards most useful in fights, we can add them to our list of artworks to create the illusion of interaction…

Oh, Lars… I just misunderstood what you mean, right? RIGHT????

SR / SSR - cards

These cards are already only with the main cast. They have a set of stories that can be fully unlocked only after we collect the entire set of cards (R, SR and SSR can be included)… Or only after completing some part of the story.

For example, this Clarence’s card. And the story will open only after completing all the routes in Godhelm.

SSR cards have more levels, so they only become stronger when fully leveled.

CR-cards (I only have one at the moment)

These are the cards that can be obtained at some events.

If we select this option (dynamic), they will be animated from the very beginning. SR/SSR are animated only from the second card. And instead of a story, there will be a whisper (as on R cards), but rather long (5 minutes instead of 1 in R cards). It’s like a dialogue, but we only hear his part of it. There was something similar in the Wannabe challenge. That’s one of the reasons I played this game. The voice acting is simply top notch.

Otherwise, these cards are the same as SSR cards. Although I didn’t really dig into it… Maybe they are weaker or stronger… I consider them only as seasonal. Like, for some holidays…

There are many ways to make them stronger. At first, I thought I had too much gold… now I think I don’t have it at all. We need gold for literally everything… So… the progress in improving the cards has slowed down significantly.

I’ve read some stories from R-cards. Some of them are voiced, some are not, but they are all cute. Below are a few screenshots.

Lars gets extreme cuteness aggression from his little painter and sometimes, he can’t help but act out on it.

Whenever you’re extremely focused either on a painting or other activity, he’ll boop the tip of your nose and flash his usual playful grin at you.

When you excitedly show him your newest painting, he’ll ruffle your hair and praise you for how well you did.

When you look up at him, he’ll catch you off guard and randomly pinch your cheek and chuckle about it.

When the two of you hold hands, he can’t help but want to compare hand sizes. Your hands are much cuter and are easily engulfed by his, this is especially emphasized when you hold up your hand next to his.

You can pout all you like, but can you blame him?

So I finished the current CNY/Valentines 2026 story on CN for PL a couple days ago. There’s like. One minor detail at the end that’s driving me up a wall because I’m foggy on certain world building details and I want to ask people who might remember better about that world building detail but I also don’t want to give away spoilers on accident. Help.

I also finished Godforsaken Land Chapter 3 Part 2. I have. Thoughts. That I will save for a dedicated post. I’m also mentally bouncing off the walls over a certain scene because it was everything I wanted. Also fuck u conchmeat for where that chapter ended at.

It’s crazy how many couples they tried to pack into LBC. Like all of the sides get barely any screen time at all. Like even TinCan doesn’t really begin until like ep5? 4 kinda?

This show has like 5 couples (aepete, tincan, pondchaaim, tumtar, kengklatechno, type is there and tharn is implied), and sure their stories all mix, but for majority they all have very different set ups and premises which really spreads out the number of scenes and settings needed just to kinda establish one pair. It’s crazy.

It’s funny to rewatch LBC bc Can really doesn’t talk that fast but everyone reacts to him like they can’t keep up 😂 it’s just so much slower paced that him “talking fast” just feels kinda normal

I was doing a puzzle so I turned on LBC in the background. Not only did I forget Trump existed, I also forgot how crazy and weird he is. The tongue!!! 🤣🤣🤣 He’s a good villain for sure

The collectible cards are very pretty. They have nice foil printing. And the pins are very glittery!

So. I ended up with 4 polaroid sets from the merch lotto. And then some misc ML merch.

Thinking I’ll snag some complete sets of the rest of the merch when it rolls around for sale this year and then run a giveaway of each ML set + 3 polaroid sets when the event rolls around on global. TBD. I just really don’t care for the likes of mercari and trying to fuss with all that so I’d rather just give away. Also just to do something nice for the community. Probably gonna cross post this between here and twitter.

Lol got Alkaid in first 10 pull on global and then ended up with him U6 between just pulls and one of the random SSR cards. Granted I went in with 300 pulls but that’s beside the point; do not pull for extra copies just use enlightenment, I was snagging the frames from pull rewards because I’m insane

And on CN, got PL in 70 pulls which is admittedly pretty good given my track record of horrendous luck

I wish the scabbard that ryoshu had had its inscription with a font more handwritten and child-like only because. Well. Araya. I know the scabbard itself is her, but I think it wouldve been cute if, compared to what it is currently, it genuinely did feel like araya.

The entire lovebrush chronicles is just a backdrop for Alkaid’s greatness. First there was alkaid, and then the developers thought: “What if we make a game around him?” They didn’t create alkaid for the plot — they created the plot because they couldn’t help but create alkaid. God looked at the void and said, “There’s not enough alkaid here,” and that’s how the developers who created alkaid appeared. Alkaid is not a character, it is a state of mind.

The plot was written just by copying his walk, he’s so charismatic. All the other characters are just his shadow. If you listen closely, the lovebrush chronicles soundtracks are just the looping sound of his footsteps. He doesn’t follow the plot— the plot follows him. All the other characters are his distant echo. The developers first drew his pixel, and then the universe grew around him. When it appears on the screen, all the other frames are just rough animations. If you remove Alkaid from the game, even the universe will crumble to dust. His every breath is an ent that fans will unravel for years. He doesn’t choose routes — routes choose him.

If it hadn’t been for him, Eden would have fallen to the empire long ago. He’s not a game character — it’s a game character for him. He is the cause of all world events. In 2020, everyone stayed at home, not because of the pandemic, but because he said, “Let’s take a break.” Elon Musk bought Twitter only because Alkaid left a tab open there. Shakespeare wrote Hamlet after just looking at it. Mozart was composing music while alkaid was humming to himself. “Mona Lisa” is smiling because he told her a joke. Alkaid is not just a character, but a threat to the stability of the multiverse. Any action he takes is a risk to space-time.
