i think about this sooo much. not necessarily this exact, specific moment, but the feeling behind it. the betrayal, disappointment, etc of knowing gods exist but aren’t there for you. they always put themselves & their lives first. even if they don’t mean to be, they are so self centered. and there is literally nothing he could have said here to disprove that or convince her (or anyone) otherwise. anything that could possibly leave his mouth would be an excuse. and he knows it. and this specific flashback happening when he can’t lift mjolnir because he genuinely thinks gorr was right… HELLO!!

I have not heard about it? But like I knew Shrek was a satire film on Disney. It’s been speculated that Lord Farquaad (very clever, Dreamworks…) was based on Michael Eisner, because Katzenburg and Eisner didn’t get along at all.
I know media literacy is going down, but geez louise, some people gotta learn to read more. The whole point is Shrek and Fiona are a lot alike and that Fiona would be HAPPIER as an ogre because she has more interests along the same lines as Shrek. The whole point of the conversation with Donkey is Fiona is only acting like a perfect princess to get her curse broken because she fears being an ugly princess, which isn’t how princesses are “supposed” to be. And when she breaks her curse with Shrek, she goes “I don’t understand… I’m supposed to be beautiful.”
Shrek’s response. “But you are beautiful.”
The point of Shrek and Fiona is to be confident in who you are even if you’re shunned (which Shrek is) and to find someone who loves you for who you are, even if society doesn’t love you for it.
