I agree! They have an interesting dynamic, especially the difference in their appearance. Obsidian is quite intimidating, while Lava is quite friendly-looking.

Well, I feel the most obvious thing they share in common is their chemical composition, and they’re also pretty shy too, but I can’t really make out anything else similar about them.
She doesn’t look nearly as offputting as her older… sibling? I’m not quite sure on their relationship. Looks much more friendly… she doesn’t have that big creepy smile.

🇮🇹 Italy — Explosions and Small Lava Flows Continue at Stromboli
🌋 Activity continues at Stromboli in southern Italy. Ongoing explosive activity and small lava overflows have been observed from the northern crater area.
🔥 Lava is slowly descending along the Sciara del Fuoco, the volcano’s usual pathway for eruptive material. The activity is accompanied by so-called “bubble-like” explosions, typical of Strombolian-type eruptions.
⚠️ The current activity remains at a moderate level, and monitoring of the situation is ongoing.
