I remember when Tahlequah (J35) carried her dead calf for 17 days 2 years ago. The world watched heart broken, wondering when she would let go. Although this was incredibly sad, it just showed how emotionally intelligent orca whales are….

What other animal shows so much attachment to their family? It shows how barbaric it is to keep animals like these in small tanks..They deserve so much more..

EN VERT ET CONTRE TOUT

La journée a été délicieuse mais chaude et caniculaire à compter de 11 heures du matin

Heureusement, j'avais décollé dès potron-minet.

C'était sans compter sur les crevaisons - 2 très lentes (les pires) - qui se sont succédées coup sur coup autour de midi.

Rien dans le pneu arrière. J'ai rustiné, regonflé, attendu et constaté que tout était bon. Non, la chambre à air n'était pas pincée.

Il faut dire que ma route a d'abord été un chemin jonché de pierres et de bours de bois parfois tranchant. Pour autant, c'est au milieu de ce chemin, sur la bande herbeuse, que je me suis appliqué à rouler toute la matinée.

Bizarre donc ces crevaisons d'autant que c'est avant et après un arbre couché sur une voie verte au niveau de Labastide d'Armagnac que j'ai percé les 2 fois.

J'ai donc pris mon mal en patience d'autant que cette voie verte - en fait l'ancienne ligne de train Gabarret/Mont-de-Marsan - était très boisée, longiligne et de facto agréable pour rouler sous cette chaleur.

Sur mon pneu arrière très mou, ma route a toutefois été très belle.

Autre choix non préjudiciable, celui d'avoir choisi aujourd'hui de ne rouler que 45 kilomètres tant le haut de mes talons d'Achille semble en cristal, et la fatigue générale.

Ceci étant dit, j'ai béni les concepteurs de cette voie verte reliant l'Armagnac au Marsan.

Que c'est agréable de rouler la fraise au vent, sans se soucier des voitures et des camions.

J'ai vu des écureuils bondissants, des lézards vifs déguerpissant quand ils entendaient le crissement de mes pneus.

J'ai en revanche longé d'immenses champs de maïs arrosés à volonté.

Quant aux anciennes gares de cette voie, elles servent désormais de logements à des gens heureux et épanouis vu l'ordonnancement de leurs jardins, et l'intérieur de leurs maisons que j'ai pu deviner juché sur ma selle.

Je me suis également plu à imaginer qu'il y avait un inventeur (ou un inventrice) des voies vertes. Ces voies où l'on peut rouler paisiblement…
