So technically, synapses are the diodes of the human body…

The ends of two different neurons. There is a small gap between them, containing many white particles that are connecting the two neurons together. ALT
The universal symbol for the diode.ALT

So, there was this question that said, “What are the harmful effects of microwaves?”

And I responded with, “Human Roast Chicken.”

Then me and my friend laughed at it for a good five minutes.

D'you think the examiner that’s going to mark my paper will be okay with a lil’ joke (as long as I write the correct answer as well)?

Hey everyone! My friend is having trouble with global perspectives for IGCSE amd im trying to help him.

Unfortunately he wasnt able to find enough resources for his global perspective in the essay and i suggested he used a survey as a primary reasource so i would really appreciate it if you helped him out by taking a few minutes out of your time to answer the survey. Your responses are greatly appreciated🙏

GCSE vs IGCSE Explained: Syllabus, Assessment, Grading & Recognition | The Profs

Choosing between GCSE and IGCSE?
This clear, student-focused breakdown helps you decide quickly and confidently. Dickson—our award-winning Maths and Economics tutor—compares syllabus structure, assessment style (coursework vs exam-only), grading scales, exam timing, and how schools, sixth forms and universities recognise each qualification. You’ll see how subject choice, exam availability (UK vs international settings), and support resources can affect results and progression to A level.

We also cover the practical implications: what the typical question styles look like, the role of calculators and formula sheets, how grade boundaries tend to behave, and which route suits students who prefer continuous assessment versus high-stakes final exams. Dickson’s track record speaks for itself: 84% of his A level students achieve A*–A and 100% of his GCSE students achieve Grade 7 or above, with many progressing to Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, UCL and KCL.

If you’re deciding your pathway—or want help to maximise grades on your current course—this video gives you the decision criteria and study priorities to act on today. For personalised guidance, book a consultation with our team.
