If we look at the Engagement Rate (how many people who saw the post actually clicked “upvote”), the gap between your best-performing group and the big group is over 500%
The fact that you have an 80% ratio in the big group but 100% in the others suggests that hostile actors (bots or “haters”) are lurking in the high-traffic pond. It only takes 1 or 2 downvotes in the first 20 minutes to “kill” a post’s trajectory in a sub as big as r/worldbuilding.

So once again I’ve seen a movie that got me thinking Fumito Ueda must have seen it and been influenced by it.
William of Baskerville (Sean Connery) and his young sidekick, Adso (Christian Slater), arrive at a Benedictine Abbey in Northern Italy, having ridden across a vaste, barren landscape.

The monks welcome them and we hear the narrator’s voice for the first time. Like in The Last Guardian, it’s the voice of a world-weary man telling the story of an adventure he had in his youth.
Baskerville makes Sherlock-Holmes-style deductions which take them closer and closer to working out who is committing the murders at the abbey. There are also entrances to secret passageways that you can only open if you know the trick. One door can only be opened by depressing two of the letters engraved above it. Through it is a staircase labyrinth that brings to mind Escher’s impossible staircases and also Piranesi’s ‘Carceri d'invenzione’. It wouldn’t look out of place in The Queen’s castle.

At the end, Adso has to decide who to go with, the girl he became involved with or his mentor. He chooses his mentor but then in his final monologue, old Adso says:
'And yet, now that I am an old, old man, I must confess that of all the faces that appear to me out of the past, the one I see most clearly is that of the girl of whom I’ve never ceased to dream these many long years. She was the only earthly love in my life, yet I never knew, nor ever learned, her name.’

One of the filming locations for The Name of the Rose was Rocca Calascio, where Ladyhawke was also filmed apparently. Going to have to watch that movie again as well. I’m turning into Wade Watts from Ready Player One, obsessively watching 80s movies that may or may not have influenced my favourite game designer.

I believe the reason The Last Guardian was received fairly poorly was (other than the fact gamers are still in the “every game must be UE5 graphics, crazy fromsoftware combat, and somehow both AAA and indie at the same time” opinion era) because most people were going into it expecting Shadow of the Colossus. When you look at all three games, it’s actually SotC who’s the “odd one out"— ICO and TLG both have linear story and path the player follows, and there’s not that much of combat. Then SotC is in other words a "boss rush” where yes there’s a set in storyline, you can explore the world however and go kill the boss whenever you decide; the game experience is a little different from the other two stories.

As You can see they are going out of their way. They might not know the specifics of the £14.47m ICO fine reddit got (Feb 24, 2026), and that harassment and stalking is a traceable crime

Story, Image 2:
Joreff, the light fire, the portal and the spire of the empress. (Lords of Riven Edge)
The story starts on a boat, The story ends on a boat.
You see a explosion over the sea, it is the ending and the beginning.
The explosion is a dimensional manifestation and not from earth where You were teleported from, from that very same boat, out of phase. You are looking at Yourself being teleported, when the story ends You only see a green flash on the horizon as the sun sets, where You are positioned in this world.
You want to investigate the explosion, but some other thoughts seem more important, like remembering that You have a urgent meeting in the harbour of silver city, (when you were transported, part of Your earth memories were erased and replaced, so You forgot that the earth boat had friends on it, this one does not)
So You eventually realise as You unlock events and memories, that You are not from this world, and that this world is in the Andromeda Galaxy, and in one of three dimensions.
This is the Prime Nexus, from here You will enter the light nexus, where You will meet the empress in a spire that guards over the world cup, a biomass surrounded by a vibrant aqua pool, that sustains the entire dimension and has the ability to send You back home, but to send You back home, You must first travel to the dark nexus to defeat the masters of illusion, the empress gives You the light fire that You will use, and tells You of a Lost City that can be found in a pool near some ruins.
As You collect items to unlock the pedestal in the centre of the pool, You come upon the sacred dragon parchment, that unlocks the tattoo, that will guide and give You stealth abilities, and make enemies stall.
After unlocking the pedestal, the pool fills up, and then You dive right in, and discover that it is bigger on the inside, and a huge lots city with a spire and clock inside is at it’s centre,
That is where the entry point to the dark nexus is.
Once in the dark nexus, it doesn’t seem so dark at all, it is a Utopia a lost world, full of happy creatures and lots of distractions. You soon find Your stats decreasing with every interaction.
Realising it is a illusion and that all of the world is one cave and that You never moved since You teleported there, You lift the spell and boost the dragon arm tattoo by combining it with the light fire.
After the dark nexus is destroyed You return to the light nexus that is in a giant tree in the Prime nexus, You are teleported back to earth and see the green flash that is a out of phase loop of when You are teleported to the Andromeda Galaxy.

Investing Yachts today introduced its real-world asset (RWA) yacht charter model, a blockchain-based approach designed to tokenize exposure to potential double-digit revenue generated by luxury yacht charter operations via their upcoming $YATE token. A dive into the design ideals and aesthetics of Ico as well as other texts that share some fun aspects.
Your first playthrough gives you the code. Your second playthrough gives you a translation. But what about the process in-between?
I picked apart 86 captions from the game files of ICO to figure out exactly how Yorda’s fictional language was actually encoded from Japanese.
And I showed all of my work. So you can not only double check it, but add onto it!

QXMP Labs announced that it has registered approximately USD $1.1 trillion of certified real-world, in-ground assets on its proprietary Layer-1 blockchain, QELT. The announcement follows the activation of QXMP’s proprietary oracle infrastructure, which is designed to ingest and verify qualified geological and scientific documentation and…
Played Ico recently and I found that I got intriguingly quickly attached to Yorda to the extent that I felt myself get physically anxious when I had to leave her behind for a moment to do some platforming or some puzzle. I also wanted to hold her hand everywhere as that felt safest, though I felt a little bad doing that because she looked like she was being dragged along, hahaha. Additionally, I’m terrible at remembering what button does what, so I kept hitting walls accidentally and frightening her :(
Also, why does every jump across a pit with her leave her hanging off the edge? It’s like they wanted to give me a heart attack, hahaha
Even at the end of the game, I hardly knew anything about her, and playing the NA version (which apparently I shouldn’t have done) meant she had less complexity to her AI, as I later learned. I have always been quick to see fictional characters similar to people though, and it seems her having a simplistic AI and no understandable dialogue to speak of didn’t get in the way of that at all.
In conclusion, escort quests are a 10/10 and we need to petition to add more handholding in games.

My Capella playlist (Magdalena Bay, Banana Shake, etc) paired well with the sight of Yorda scuttering after me, hand-in-incorporeal hand. After watching me solve enough puzzles, she will reach for her head & find her first (1st) gray hair at 14. One-shot tonight?
