I came across a YouTube video(by Murasaki Juice)titled “The Soul Society Arc Was BAD” then I was like, Bruh the Soul Society Arc is one of the most iconic shonen anime arcs ever(sure it has some flaws but it’s great none of the less). I really like this Arc because this is what introduced me to the Soul Reapers(aka the Shinigamis)of different divisions(it also introduced me to the main villain of this series that being of course Aizen himself)and I also really like the relationship between Ichigo and Rukia in this arc since Ichigo’s main goal is to save Rukia from getting executed. I also like the Song of the Opening as well. So, somebody should make a responsevideo and debunking what Murasaki has claim in his review.

Oh, haha, while i do agree the bickering aspect is a similar trait, i think IR clashes more mutually, like they both get angry & shout at each other & stuff. But with GjHm, Gojo is mostly teasing & Utahime is the one who gets angry. Like, i can’t imagine Gojo talking to her/getting angry at her like Ichigo does with Rukia, you know? 😆 He’s more playful, smiling, laughing, whereas Ichigo is more moody, grumpy & rough. Unless Gojo is more similar to Rukia since she’d tease Ichigo at times, angering him, lol? 🤪

Hmm… Sharing mutual trust & similar values (IR with being a shinigami, GjHm working behind the scenes against the higher-ups & caring for their students), both men shown being protective over Rukia & Utahime, both men wanting to be their knight in shining armor (Ichigo every time he saw Rukia in the SS arc, Gojo when he hurriedly went to save Utahime from the mansion in the Hidden Inventory arc & later telling Megumi in a flashback that saving a girl could make her fall for you), are a few other things in common, huh… 👀

Oh, I can kinda see how Gojo could be similar to Urahara, haha. He’s usually smiling, teasing, a genius & mentor… Maybe GjHm is a bit more similar to UraYoru, lol? He did tease Yoruichi at times & she got angry at him, no? 🤪

Funny how, in 2025, the hate for Ichihime ship is still ongoing. With cour 4 trailer, some Ichiruki shippers has been seething and screaming on the strongest. I would say the same things to Ichihime shippers if only they are not going so far creating a cucking fanarts or making one characters abusive to their wife or kids.

I don’t ship any characters if you stumbled on this post and thought I shipped Ichihime. Many shippers are a bunches of cancers and Bleach is one of the biggest of all. Even blocking the tags won’t save you. Tokyo Ghoul shippers really took note from Bleach very well they burns a manga literally.

You want to ship? Fine. Can you stop hating on existing ship like it’s your personality and making hate and ntr fanart or making Renji an abusive father/husband who molest his daughter or Orihime cheating with Uryu to justify Ichigo and Rukia? Another story.

IH’s claiming Ichigo was very upset when Ori was taken to HM… like, that man spared her NO thought in the manga. It didn’t even rain, which is a representation of Ichigo’s despair. He was more upset at SS abandoning him for the rescue mission than Ori’s actual absence-

Meanwhile, Ichigo when Rukia was taken to SS

Translation: kaylee2908 (Twitter)ALT

(This amazing post sums it up 🤭)

Ichigo when he lost his powers & was unable to see Rukia for 17 months

Bonus: Ichigo when Rukia didn’t remember him in Fade To Black (a movie masterminded by Kub0 himself)

Pretty much. Most of what I’ve come across is just them stealing from IR, lol. What they often claim as theirs, IR already has it/did it and BETTER 🤣. They want our official titles & ignore their narrative comparisons.

Ichigo going to another dimension to save Ori? He did it first for Rukia, hellbent on his one goal, (“I” will save Rukia, I want to win!!, Rukia this, Rukia that), never walking away from an enemy, managing to regain control of his Hollow & still winning with his own merits, had some good talking/parting scenes with Rukia, as well as making new allies & friends. He realized the true reason for wanting to save her so much. Overall, the arc of a hero.

Unlike with Ori (“we” have to save her, Inoue’s our friend), he was constantly getting sidetracked, like turning his back on Ulquiorra, the enemy, when he didn’t feel Rukia’s reiatsu anymore & without even knowing if Ori was alright, to which Ulquiorra himself even called him out on—three great posts on that here, here and here. He was not in a hurry to get her out of harm’s way, that even Grimmjow pointed it out during their fight which was in huge part for Rukia 💀. Compare this to when Ichigo had immediately launched Rukia to Renji after rescuing her & demanded to take her to safety, while he was forced to fight Byakuya & anyone else who got in the way…

Like Ichigo was practically suicidal right after Rukia was taken to SS & couldn’t stop thinking about her while he didn’t really think about Ori when she was taken-

Ichigo died (at the dome) to save/protect Ori? He did it first for Rukia to become a shinigami (getting his Soul Chain cut) & felt it was all worth it. Unlike when he lost control of his Hollow against Ulquiorra’s immense power & went on full defense mechanism (his Hollow only protects him, later confirmed by Zangetsu himself, & Ichigo never referred to Ori when he said he would “protect”), nearly killing Ori & Ishida & actually killing Ulquiorra, & felt like a monster when he regained control. He felt a bit better after talking to Rukia, even told her this whole war was pointless & wanted to get it over with already. Overall, the deconstruction arc of a hero (and unfortunately, Kub0 never built him back up like in SS 😮‍💨).

IR bonding in just 2 months after meeting vs IH not being able to bond in the 17 months after the HM arc (“their” arc) when Ichigo was powerless & without Rukia…

Ichigo feeling better with Rukia’s words regarding his mom that he even recited them several chapters later to his dad, vs him & Ori never talking about it (and she learned it from a third-party instead)

Ori unable to cheer up Ichigo vs Rukia cheering him up countless times. Ori fearing his Hollow vs Rukia worrying for him. IH’s claiming orange & orange is a good color scheme for their ship & ignore Kub0 purposely made IR’s colors complementary. IR having official titles, symbolisms & good quotes/lines while IH have none… like the list goes on…

Oh, & RR? (Almost forgot. They’re so “meh” to me, lol). Some of my thoughts here & here. Renji’s got nothing on Ichigo 🤣. He just copied Ichigo, & Rukia never gave him a second thought 🤷‍♀️. Like, most of their talks were about Ichigo anyway, lol??

I love editing my friends faces into pictures like this. My friend, she’s very dear to me but knows how to piss me off to no end as all friends do. She knows how much Ichiruki means to me, so she ships Ichihime to annoy me. I edited her face with Renji in another bride and groom pic similar to this I found on pinterest to get back at her and she was like, “Am I Rukia then?”. I then thought to edit these two in a bride and groom pic. I love this one lmao. I wanted to share this here.

Nah fam. Renruki and ichihime may be canon but the ending of Bleach reads more like a BE anyways so effectively I would say it’s more of a winning the battle, losing the war situation with the endships. There’s no romantic or character build up leading to it and even if Kubo did hash out some form of weird spin off to explain it it would never have the same oomph as IchiRuki.

Because with IchiRuki it was consistent build up. These two genuinely carried the first few seasons of the show. Even in HM arc where Rukia plays admittedly a smaller role, her interactions with Ichigo are by no means diminished in their impact and meaning. And not to mention, the man in my heart speech, the memories in the rain, the final farewell before he loses his powers- lovelies, if that’s not love then I don’t know what love is.

So I’m not 100% sure what you’re looking for with this ask, but I actually do really like Rukia and by extension Renji being driving forces behind IH getting together. Sorry in advance if this gets a bit rambly, but firstly is it is reasonably established in canon, as multiple orihime has her moments of doubt/insecurity/other mental crises Rukia does appear as a sort of cheerleader the most prominent example being the training in the Arrancar arc.

And then in WDKALY Orihime is the point of contact between Rukia and the human world and Renji starts pushing Ichigo towards her, something I doubt he’d do without prior prodding from Rukia, at least specifically towards Orihime, I could see him doing a general “damn I’m happy about being married, you should get a wife Ichigo.” But I think the fact it’s specified implies Rukia’s involvement. And now because I recognise your screen name I know you’ve seen my most recent ramble about the ending but as I discuss in there, I think it’s incredibly in character for her especially if you think she has feelings for Ichigo. Rukia is an incredibly self destructive character when it comes to doing things for people she cares about, her Bankai is even a perfect reflection of that with how it’s from what I remember the only one that risks so much damage to the wielder.

And the fact that we see Rukia pulls away in the lead up to and period after her wedding Rukia is trying desperately to refuse the fact both that she has feelings for Ichigo and Ichigo has any ability to exist in a space not limited to the human world. We know that his friends get soul passes but there’s never any indication he gets one, Orihime is who Rukia talks to about getting the Karakura gang to her wedding and in doing so leaves out Isshin, Karin and Yuzu, further evidence that she’s trying to undo her time with Ichigo.

And as a capstone to what we see even though we know he’s still considered at least partially part of the Seiretei still from his invite to Ukitake’s fairwell ceremony and yet theres an implication that prior to Yhwach’s return in the time skip both from what we see in WDKALY and the post timeskip chapters that their interactions continue to lessen in number this way as there’s definitely a lack of implication that Ichigo and the others know that Rukia’s now captain of squad 13 but then we also know that by BFH they’re calling each-other to talk about rather mundane things, a fairly significant shift. This of course also feeds some fantastic angst potential between the two of them in regards to how they’ve sacrificed their happiness to stop Yhwach. I mean I’ve written a couple things were Rukia tries to slide Orihime between herself and Ichigo to get him to move past her while sacrificing her feelings. So I’m not actually opposed to IH matchmaker Rukia at all.

Actually I see this scene as Renji realizing he can never be like Ichigo, Ichigo is strong, determined, willing to risk his life for Rukia when mind you he knew her for months! Meanwhile Renji left her for much less despite knowing Rukia for years it was like the destiny was slapping his face at that time Renji saw himself as completly impotent.
