So… Fortnite, Huh?

Yeah I’ve Been Getting Back Into It, And Fun Thing Is I Think My Anger Issues Aren’t All That Bad Anymore Since I Haven’t Yelled At All At The Game :D

Anyway Phantom Guff My Goat.

Phantom Guff from Fortnite, a skin that is mainly black with pinkish-purple highlights all across it, shaped similar to cracks with a star shape forming on the centre of the torso. PG's eye's are pure white, scribbly circles that change their expression occasionally, in this picture, PG is staring with the tops of his eyes flat at the camera. Guff's form is quite large, being mainly fur with smaller hands and feet, with there being a lack of a neck covered up by fluff. Two fluffy, bunny-like ears poke out from the top, the tips marked with the same colour as the rest of the design. In every picture, his mouth remains the same as a mouth resembling cracks forming into a smile reaching halfway up his eyes. He is holding the camera with his left hand, throwing up a peace sign with the other. He stands within a purple forest in the middle of autumn, and stays in this forest for the next 3 pictures.

Phantom Guff next to a stack of pumpkins holding a multi-coloured fan with the word "FWOOM!" on it.

Phantom Guff stood with hands up to his head, presumably dancing.

Phantom Guff laid down in a field of purple, daisy-shaped flowers, looking up at the camera with his arms outstretched. He is also illuminated by two different very faint pinkish-purple lights in the top left and bottom right.

Phantom Guff within a house, giddily looking at a chemistry set in front of him whilst dropping two different vials, coloured Red and Blue. From the conical flask in the centre of a small tray, a purple plume of smoke erupts, along with a lighter skull design within the smoke.

Phantom Guff staring at the camera leaning slightly forward, hands up to his chin with his knuckles touching his chin. On the outer corners of his eyes, which have a mischievous expression, small hearts can be seen.

Phantom Guff sat down on a lawn chair, holding a stick with two marshmallows on its end, holding them over a small makeshift campfire. PG has a happy expression on his face.

hey this post on bluesky fucking sucks.

the dishonesty here is palpable. the op of this post complained that they spent hours editing a video only for it to get 200 views. this is only important if you think views/follower counts correlate directly with income. if you want to be an influencer who makes art, just fucking say so. but this is not the point of simply “being an artist”.

you absolutely do not “have” to spend hours of your day making tiktoks and reels showing your workspace and process and daily life and upcoming releases. it is a conscious decision to spend your time being an entertainer for children who consume exclusively short-form media instead of enjoying and honing your craft.

please don’t let posts like this make you think that this is the “only way” of being an artist in the social media era and that if you don’t document your entire process, you’re some kind of failure. don’t let posts like this guilt you into thinking you aren’t doing enough. freelancing obviously involves marketing yourself, i’m not saying “advertising your work is bad”, but if you are at any time fretting over the tedium of making a process tiktok maybe take a few steps back and evaluate if the time you are spending catering to the algorithm is proportionate to the time you are spending actually doing the things you like.
