so ive been obsessed with princess Genos for weeks now ever since I read his wiki for mroe details AND ever since I learnt there’s a story where he and Sai go to a festival wearing yakutas I’ve been so obsessed with a feminine-ish Genos wearing a yakuta, either as malewife or now as a princess lol. for some reason Genos in a Yakuta is an amazing itch in my brain and I wanna learn more Japanese cultural wear to put him in

so for this AU imagine he wears the traditional japanese dressing cus that is the only thing I can think of for this AU

Edo-ish period AU where Genos was a demon soldier, the strongest and a general for demon lord Orochi. Thanks to a trick Orochi learnt he sent Genos to be the key to opening the gate between the underworld and the mortal world, so that they could claim the fertile lands of humanity as their own

Genos was reborn as the family of simple humble villagers, and they raised human minded Genos with such human love and kindness while having their flaws but still being kind with him and fighting for him. Then as Genos’ demonic nature started to return to him at 14 came back to him he started getting small memories and realised he’s here on a mission, and must fulfil the three tythes of mortality for his powerful birthright to open a gate between the worlds. But young Genos realised the love of the human world was so much better than the demon world, and they are sealed down there for a reason. So Genos vows to not open that gate and start learning the sword carefully imbued with some of his demonic qi to become strong and defend the basic humans from the threats that he could unleash, and he must never smile, laugh nor shed a tear lest the energies of those strong emotions open the gate. This meant he had to harden his heart so that his emotions would not betray him and cause the downfall of his vow. His family and village realised he was become more stoic and stern, but he was becoming extra polite and helpful, so they just made sure he was okay and he isn’t alone, appreciating all his efforts.

At 15 all hell broke loose when a tear, after multiple unfortunate events, fell from his eye. Just that black tear was enough to make a rift open and release a few dangerous and random demons. They destroyed the village and the powerful ones slaughtered the people, Genos not being trained or strong enough to defeat them and save lives. In his pain he unlocked his fire powers, nearly losing himself as he rejected his demonic energy, but then Bang, the technique master of energy flow, came and saw that Genos was a demon of a different nature, so sealed his weak powers instead of killing him. Right before Genos could pass out he wishes Bang had killed him instead, murmuring it would be better for them all if he was dead. That only intrigued Bang more, and he was determined to understand just what happened here. He alone buried all the people and put out the fires, waiting in the wreckages within a still usable home for this strangeling to wake up and explain itself

When Genos came to Bang was friendly but stern, and Genos was honest in confessing all the truth. Bang, pondering the story, deduces that what Orochi learnt was no random trick, and indeed he is part human now. Genos is even more conflicted, loves this world and because of it doesn’t want to hurt it. Bang suggests channeling it instead, as there are many nasty and dangerous energies that exist in this world yet they still exist thanks to humans learning how to master a balance with their mortal, neutral natures to let those powerful chaotic natures coexist with them peacefully. Genos still hesitant, and Bang offers that his determination to protect this village’s lives, even as he knows who he really is and why he’s here, is nothing short of commendable. And if he truly wants to protect this world then he should persist and fight for it. That turns Genos around, realising he did hold his own against those demons before his powers had a surge, and he vows to fight for the balance of the worlds and safety of the mortal world.

Before they leave genos asks him to seal his powers for good, not even wanting to try with them lest there come a repeat of that surge. But Bang explains that genos is indeed powerful, and he had to use a strong seal that nearly broke as he fought against Bang in wariness. Right now it holds because he is calm, but warns that should he have any surges, and likely as his powers grow with maturity and time, the seal will break naturally and stronger ones will have to be found and used. Thus encourages Genos to train with them as well, offering his dojo as a secluded place to practice in secret so he too may have reign over his hectic powers. Genos is displeased but the reasoning is sound and he agrees

Genos takes a vow of silence and learns sign language to further strengthen his emotional control and is taken in as a student of Bang and Bomb exclusively, but he shortly uses the sword to rely less on his elemental powers and not give himself away. But under the white lie of spells he can infuse his powers with his blade in public and learn to practice the three arts at the same time. The council of Swords learn of this and invite him to learn as well, and Bnag encourages it to hone his weaponry skill as they can teach him a great lot too. Thus he studies under the Atomic Samurai who challenges his control of his powers well and he excels under all three’s treachings

Over time Genos becomes popular, gaining the moniker of the ‘Blazing Blade’ from the 26 provinces and becomes popular for his intelligence and skill. Somehow, with Bang’s connections, he’s gotten a general’s position in Province Q, but shortly after gets the position of princessfor of Province Z for his safety after a failed attempt to demote and sack him by the United Federation, where monsters are said to run amok. He makes quick work of any demon and monster he encounters, protecting human residences and culling their invasive numbers. Thanks to his efforts people live safely and can grow stronger in Province Z, and building his connections with the help of his alies he becomes the official princess of the Province with the people’s loyalty. Genos is awed by this, and makes sure to take care of the people well, learning all he can about the good, bad and ugleis of politics

Zero (Drive Knight) was a renouned thin many porvinces, coming to hide away in Z. But through an altercation with an unknown individual (Saitama facing an enraged Sonic) he got caught and was identified, sent straight to the princess for the decidal of his fate. Genos uses a truth spell to make Zero speak honestly, and he admits he was gonna lie low and retire here as he’s fulfilled his life debt to his slave master. Genos takes him to spar with swords, and while Zero loses he held himself well. Genos knights him as a guard of the palace and gives him citizenship in Z. The ex-slace is awed but appreciates it, and asks his name be recognised as Zeta here instead. Genos agrees, and Zeta starts his new life curious about this province

Over time Zeta shows he’s proficient at slaying more monsters, and thus is employed to join the princess on the missions. Zeta realises this princess puts his life on the line fo the measly soldiers Zeta deigns to put his life for him as well, and thsis gets recognised. It’s not long before generals commend Zeta’s fighting and he’s promoted to be the princess’ personal guard, which he takes on diligently. Zeta makes sure the princess takes care of himself better, and after one night of almost losing his life they have a heart to heart as Zeta is delirious on pain and meds while Genos wraps his wounds. Here Genos finds a kindred spirit and speaks, admitting that kinship. The day after there is a mutual understanding, and they share the title of brothers

At 19 Genos feels himself get even more stronger, such that Bang has to come in personally with a stronger seal and genos’ old ones keep decintegrating in weeks. From the signs he cautions that a boost f maturity may negate the seals entirely, and there may be nothing that could hide Genos’ true nature once the tipping point is crossed. Genos understands and agrees, inviting Zeta to share on his situation and the plan should he lose his humanity to his powers, and it’s not gone unnoticed that he’s become more reutheless in missions and harsher in sparring, such that he and Zeta can’t spar anymore

A week later Genos takes a stroll through the abandoned east side of the Province, where it’s still been too dangerous for anyone to live in safely, due to what he perceives is a weakpoint between worlds that could serve as a gate should even a simple Cadre have the means to open any basic gate. Thus it’s here that Genos strolls more often to clear what little pests he encounters to ensure that never happens

One day a mosquito bitch tests his patients and nearly out’s that he’s a demon, growing his ire. But just as he’s forced to use more of his magic and risk breaking his current seal some random dude appears and takes care of her. Genos is awed by this, staring at the scorched guy that just unknowingly saved his secret. He then realises he burnt the guys clothes and feels horrible, but the man waves it off and asks if he’s alright, and genos is surprised he isn’t fawning over him like the rest but doesn’t give a fuck and thanks him again for helping out

Again and again they meet, Genos fighting monsters he struggles with and this stranger killing them in the end when he’s at risk of unleashing himself. Somehow, they’ve never exchanged names, but neither mind as they get deep into friendly chatter after the monster is killed. Genos realises that he’s been getting better control over his powers these past few months quicker than he has over the years. He spars with Zeta again, and Zeta commends his control over his strength. Genos admits it might be because he’s been close to losing battles forcing him to try different techniques and methods instead of go headfirst into things, and this unexplained admission has Zeta confused and curious of what it means, a bit concerned at how ‘close to losing’ Genos was from said battles. Genos explains the stranger that’s been saving him by constant coincidence, and Zeta deadpands that it sounds like a fairytale, and realises he’s never heard of this, not even sightings from patrol of such a man. Genos just shrugs, states again that the realisation that he can lose has made him rethink how he fights with his techniques and likely guided him to be more reserved with how much power he uses. Zeta concurs that failure teaches better than blind success, and Genos just huffs

Right before he reaches 20 he finally learns the name of his ‘Coincidental Hero”, Saitama, and he gives his name too. Saitama recalls he’s heard that name before but can’t figure out where it’s from, and Genos almost hopes he doesn’t realsie cus he likes how casual he’s being treated, he can barely be this lose with anyone that isn’t his closest confidants

(I just remembered Genos is supposed to be selectively mute FUCK im too tired to change it—just imagine that he has a book and pen on him everywhere XD)

And somehow Saitama almost makes him laugh, but he manages to stiffen it with a smile. It’s not until he reaches home that he realised what happened, that he smiled so blatantly and nearly laughed, and he scolds himself for it. He goes back to their spot and checks every area, checks for any sign of monsters having appeared from nowhere and leaving marks in their haste of escape. But he finds nothing different from the aftermath of today’s battle, and with it he goes ot bet tense of the coming days, hoping he didn’t damn this beloved Province with his carelessness

I enjoy tea more than other drinks, especially herbal teas due to the calming and medicinal qualities, which I learned from my Master Saitama.

Four years ago, when I was fifteen, I was still a real human being. Though we were poor, and had to pinch pennies, we were still able to get by. We lived a peaceful and happy life together, until that fateful day, when a crazy cyborg went out of control, and attacked our town. We never knew why it happened, most likely a failed body modification generated an irregularity in his brain. He destroyed everything in sight. Parks, schools, buildings, my house, he even took the lives of everyone in my family. Miraculously, I survived, but being only a weak 15-year old, I was alone and at the end of my strength in a ruined town. That’s when Doctor Kuseno happened to pass through. The doctor, a scientist for justice, was on a mission to stop the rampaging cyborg and end his oppression. I asked the doctor to give me body modification surgery to make me better, stronger, faster. That’s how I was reborn as a cyborg who fights for justice. I promised Doctor Kuseno I would terminate the evil cyborg and return peace to this world. It’s been four years since that day. At nineteen years old, I’m focused and driven. I wander from town to town eliminating evil. The monsters and criminal organizations I have destroyed are numerous. But I have been unable to locate any clues about the insane cyborg, and have become increasingly frustrated and restless. I find myself chasing a virtual image of that cyborg whenever I face my enemies, and when a mosquito monster appeared, I let my concentration slip and paid the price. I thought I could lose to no one but the rampaging cyborg, so I neglected to analyze the data on my opponent and rushed in headlong to confront her. The result was that an enemy with immense strength bested me. If Master Saitama had not been in the area, I would’ve undoubtedly been destroyed. Master saved my life that day. The life that was once saved by Doctor Kuseno many years ago has now yet again been saved by Master Saitama, and I feel the weight of that responsibility. I must not allow myself to die before finding and destroying that cyborg once and for all, and to achieve that, I have to continue fighting evil as a righteous soldier until that fateful day comes when he appears before me. I need to get stronger.

That is why I am how I am.

My relationship with Master is that of a caterpillar and the human giving it a place to grow. I aim to take everything he gives me so that I may emerge strong from his teachings. He is the ground from which I intend to fly. I owe my life to him a thousand lives over, and he is so humble that he shares his life with me in turn. His humility is the fuel of our domestic life, even if it keeps him from getting the recognition he so deserves. Just as much as he is my stepping stone, I am the weight atop his shoulders.
