I fear that a pet peeve of mine is people gatekeeping music.

Like when there’s this new artist and at some point one of their songs gets really popular, and fans who were there since day zero will be like “Nooo TikTok found this” or anything about how it’s bad you found it on TikTok.

Oh and how people will “ruin” it now.

With all respect, shouldn’t you be happy for that artist?😭 I’m sure they’re happy their song gets popular, and they get money out of it, why so upset.

What’s wrong in finding a song from TikTok, anyways? I never understood that.

I’m sure the artists are quite happy if someone does? And it benefits them for sure.
