When I went shopping at Tomakomai Port and saw the foundation of the house under construction, the outside of the foundation concrete was insulated with Styrofoam!
It was impressive that the architectural style changed in cold regions.

苫小牧港で買い物に行って建築中の家の基礎をみたら、基礎コンクリートの外側にはスタイロフォームで断熱をするんですね!?

ところ変われば建築様式も変わるんだなぁ…と、妙に納得しました。

Echo Evalutaion.

I feel as though throughout this project i was very successful in planning this project. Before each shoot i would analyse the images that i was going to re create and then i would create a lighting diagram to ensure that i would echo the images very well.

I felt as though i connected very well with the work that i was researching and re creating. throughout this project have re created four portraits, two of thee where of film and the other images capture digitally. I researched and used a range of different techniques in order to re create these images using similar processes.

I feel as though in my last two shoots i achieved the best result i could. I feel as though the first two shoots i captured where not my best results as they where on a film camera that could not pick up the best quality. Also the negatives where very sensitive and these got scratched and damaged very easily. As a result of this i decided to capture digital echoes of images and paintings.

I feel as though the most enjoyable part of this project was analysing the images for research and the effect that the techniques used to capture the image had on the image. I found that this was a very insightful way to re capture images and it also widened my understand of how much throughout goes in to capturing an image.

The only part of this project that didn’t go to plan was the use of props. this was only a minor problem and i soon resolved it within the shoot. I only problem i had was the way that the subject was holding the props which i soon noticed and resolved.

If i was to carry this project on i would probably re create images with my own unique twist to them. I feel as though adding my own aspects on to images gets me thinking in a more creative way. Also i feel as though it makes the image more personal to me and adds my own style on to the images.

I am very pleased with the end results of my project. I feel as though my Rankin image was the most successful image that i have captured. I feel as though the lighting that i used was used in a very successful way to capture the strong amount of detail. I am also very pleased with the outcome of my re creation of Rembrants self portrait. This is because i feel i have added my own unique style to the image and i feel as though it has worked very well.

Fifth Shoot Plan

Fifth Shoot Plan
My Skin by Rob Wright

My skin renews itself. Old layers slough
Away in showers, soap and steam. My face
Remains the same face, nonetheless — enough
Alike at least for me to see the place
Where it was cut when I was ten. It’s strange
How chains of cells remember what they are;
How all the molecules are so arranged
That they emerge unblemished or as scars.
What is this memory? Where is it stored?
There’s some Platonic template of my skin,
A mask that I’m condemned to wear. If bored
At looking at the features I live in,
I know that time will pull them to the bone
In small degrees, like lichens rimed on stone.

For my fifth shoot i intend to capture a very similar style of images to my fourth shoot. For this shoot have researched further in to literature. I found a poem which has very much inspired me and this is shown above.
I want to capture very abstract images of skin. This is because i feel as though skin tells a story of its own.
In relevance to colour, i feel as though i will not alter the colour of the images. This is because i want my images to be pure colour. By this i mean i will not be changing the colour of the subject itself. However i may use a coloured lamp in order to capture the skin itself. This will add tone and atmosphere to the images.
I plan to use the same location to shoot these images as my previous shoot. This is because i feel as though this worked very well and i want to improve on my results.
