I was just reminded it was 5 years ago this weekend in 2014 my son and I road tripped from Detroit to Austin, TX for #InvaderCon 3 #FinalDoom. I made a special Irken skull sticker that I gave out to fellow fans at that con.

One year later in 2015 the #InvaderZIM comic debuted and I was hooked. I absorbed every variant cover I could find.

One year after that in 2016 I found myself in Burbank as a #Nicktern with Nickelodeon Animation Studio. 🧡 I even hosted an Invader ZIM viewing party at the studio. It was madness.

Then in 2017 while working at Nick, I’d spend my free time at night drawing all manner of crazy ZIM chalk art on the walls #InsideNick. And as if by divine providence - the #EnterTheFlorpus movie began ramping up. It was a thrill seeing this show come to life and I just happened to be nearby. 💚

Then in 2018 (on Halloween!) Invader ZIM issue 36 hit the comic book shelves with an official Variant Cover I had created contributing to the insanity I was a collector of myself.

The lesson here - don’t judge where you are today too harshly. You never know what amazing things are just around the corner. Keep at it. Stay positive.

And yes - I’m as excited as anyone for the Invader ZIM movie to hit @Netflix on August 16th.

@painkillerdomination and I worked on a new song today, got the whole arrangement and all the riffs set. It’s called “The Plutonia Experiment”. Next step is writing lyrics!
