Thinktober 27: Beast
So, real talk, I was going to continue Armaline’s story—out of a mix of magitek hunger and genuine interest, she starts pursuing weird creatures and Creatures to subsume their most interesting powers. This brings her afoul of one of the last mimics; it eats her, and like pineapple, she eats back.
It turns to gray goo just in time for a response team from a monster-hunting group to find her. The head of her department calls her a beast, a monster, but she doesn’t really take any offense—it’s true.
That’s cool and all and I love the idea of continuing a story and character through several of these prompts, but I want to get personal.
I think I got bit by a radioactive mosquito?
I was scratching Hector’s forehead yesterday in the way a lot of dogs like, and he was looking at me with total bliss, and I realized my nails were longer—and sharper—than they should be.
Today, just now, what pushed me to make this post? We were having pork chops. I typically don’t care for pork chops; they’re tough for me to chew, and my TMD flares up and it’s a whole thing. Today? Not a single pop of discomfort from my jaw, but I nearabout bit my tongue off with my razor sharp teeth.
I think my skin is greenish, very very slightly. I KNOW the mosquito bite on my arm is an uncomfortable color. Can they… wait, can they transfer stuff between people?
I know Changeling’s rep as a soyboy vegetarian, but he’d squish a mosquito that bit him, right? And if he didn’t, it wouldn’t, like, pass on a lesser version of his whole thing, would it? Oh god, I hope it’d be a lesser version; I don’t think my spine would survive a shapeshift.
How do you reach the Teen Titans?
