My ff11 oc.. EEEK okay i havent started the story yet because im gonna go through it with some friends but i’ve already started plotting her lore. so ive been trying to get into ff11 for a bit now.. and oof its hard :0 i never had so many browser pages up while playing a game xD (guides/ wiki xD)
(i think my main problem is that no npc is properly labelled, but i guess thats where the wiki helps? but then again, how do i know what to search for if i dont know it exists? xD)

Here’s my theory on the origin and backstory of the Harpeia from Final Fantasy 11.

You know how Harpies in many video games are said to reproduce by “forcing themselves” upon human men? Well, I theorize that Number 11’s Harpeia are similar in that regard, but toward Hume, Elvaan, Tarutaru, and Mithra men. I also theorize that they are Beastmen native to the Mithran homeland, the Matriarchate of Gha Naboh, and that their favorite Enlightened Race men to capture are Mithran men (the vast majority of whom I theorize to be helpless weaklings who can’t defend themselves (with the exception of Lehko Habhoka)) because they’d likely be the easiest to capture. I also theorize that would be the exact reason the Harpeia and Mithra would be at war with each other.
