Strong winds last night knocked a bunch of trees down. I don’t imagine this will be here long. I’ve started to see people cut these up themselves, harvesting what they can for firewood. I’d be hopeful if it was due to environmental concerns, but I know it’s due to poverty that is gripping the city.
People are desperate for any kind of heating, especially in the tent cities. Although Winter was mild, snow wise, the persistent rain cause much misery for people on the streets. This is valuable resource now. I’m starting to see things differently.
