California death metal. One of the OGs as they’ve been together for 30+ years! With a band like this it’s a ‘what you see is what you get’. I’m not looking for Exhumed for anything enlightening or really do I even go to them when I am looking for death metal. However, here we are. It’s top heavy with the best track being #1, 'Unsafe At Any Speed.’

For over thirty years, Exhumed has kept the flame burning for gore metal; they ushered in a new era of deathgrind with their ‘98 debut whilst serving as a launching pad for acts like Impaled, County Medical Examiners, and Cretin (to say nothing about Matt Harvey’s numerous other projects, like Gruesome and Dekapitator). Their ninth album Red Asphalt is out now through Relapse Records.
