My Erasmus application is asking why I choose the major in question and how is it relevant to my studies.
I can only choose the same major I’m currently studying.
That’s why I’m choosing it.
That’s how it’s relevant to my current studies.
But that’s not enough answer for them.
Every single human on the planet who ever had to interact with official paperwork knows that everyone think these things are bullshit and that everyone is making things up, including themselves. So why are we still doing this in the big old year of 2026? Why do I still have to lie that this one university has an exceptionally high value for me? Why do I have write Nobel-level texts about how one IR major is spiritually connected to the other IR major even though both I and the judge knows that it’s just because it’s the same major?😭😭
