Something something Mike is stuck in an unhappy relationship and he needs someone who has more life to them(will.) Bonus points if an example of that would be Will’s paintings(extra Bonus points if paintings are of Mike)(extra extra Bonus points if what kicks Mike’s realization off that he needs more isn’t just Will treating him well, falling for Will, ect but Will painting Mike in a light that Mike hasn’t felt himself be in forever(happy, handsome/pretty.. alive) and he realizes how unhappy he has become. And so later he finds the strength to leave the forced marriage(who his dad had set up ofc) and run away with Will. And Mike is kinda like Roxanne in the sense that he is educated and maybe he writes love letters that evolve over time showing the progress of him realizing he isn’t happy and that he ‘needs more’ and his feelings of love for Will and just fncjfjfj Also thinking about them exchanging gifts: Mike writing love letters to Will and Will making paintings and drawings for Mike(ranging from a quick sketch of something that made him think of Mike to stuff that took a few hours. And Mike is like, “oh. You spent all that time on something. For me? You thought of me? Why? My own partner doesn’t do that… why?”
Also doesn’t really fit but vampire Mike keeps running through my head rn bc of the vibesss.(maybe that could be one of many reasons Mike stayed so long in the unwanted marriage is bc his wife/husband said nobody will love you like I do bc you are a monster in their his eyes.

I can’t decide if Chad Powers is a play on Cyrano or Twelfth Night.
It feels more like Twelfth Night yonme because the focus is on football (survival) rather than romance, that simply comes along rather I conveniently.
I honestly like this show so much. And I think it’s because it gives off those strong Shakespeare Vibes.
It throws me back to She’s the Man, or even further back, Juwanna Mann which was more similar to Chad here.
Glen Powell is absolutely delightful and my ever favorite Steve Zahn is hilarious. Ugh, I can’t wait for next season or the next episode or whatever.

Playing Warioware all over again and noticed they quoted Cyrano de Bergerac in the explanation card for the Elephant position. At least in the french translation. It said “c'est un roc, c'est un pic, que dis-je, c'est une trompe d'éléphant.” I’m saying this from memory so I could be wrong but I believe the exact quote from the iconic tirade is “c'est un roc, c'est un pic, c'est un cap… que dis-je c'est un cap? C'est une péninsule.” It’s in the “descriptif” part I believe. If it’s not exactly that it’s probably pretty close.
It’s so cool to see this here. I haven’t played this game in so long, I would’ve never known this was here if I didn’t get a new Wii.
Some of the minigames are absurdly easy and then some are absurdly hard, it’s kind of insulting.

Well here’s something new that I’m trying! I’ve written a British romcom novel originally inspired by some of my Roy/Jamie and Roy/Jamie/Keeley (Ted Lasso) fanfic but very much its own thing. It’s a whole novel, written already, and I’m going to put up one chapter a week I think, so if you subscribe, I can guarantee updates til the end and won’t leave you hanging! For my old GoT Potential readers, I feel it’s got quite a feel of that, too, and credit that on all you readers encouraging me.

SYNOPSIS:
Bi Bi Baby is my modern revamp of Cyrano de Bergerac with a bisexual, polyamorous twist!
Jack Drake is in a rut. He’s just been dumped by Molly, his fellow teacher at South London’s John Ruskin School, for being too stuck in his ways. Rafi, the hot new substitute PE teacher with major labrador energy and maddeningly good hair, wants help from Jack in helping him win clever, art-loving Molly. Jack realises that if he agrees, he can secretly get Rafi to help him be more spontaneous and win Molly back.
What Jack doesn’t predict is that somewhere down the line, he’ll grow increasingly attracted to Rafi himself, and that things will get very complicated indeed. Can Jack work out who he is and what he wants? And will Rafi or Molly play any part in his future? A sweet, upbeat romcom that celebrates difference, art, and discovering who you are a little later in life.

My favorite movie is Cyrano (2021) and I made my aunt watch it with me and she LOVED it we’re both fully obsessed with it and the soundtrack was in both of our top albums last year
We hang out and she’ll always play it because I don’t like her music and she doesn’t like mine so we have this to share but the problem is we are both two yearners who have spent our whole lives doing everything for others and not getting what we want
This has happened MULTIPLE times now but we keep doing it bcuz we forget - the soundtrack starts and we both rave about how good it is and then about an hour later we’re both just silently staring at the wall thinking about how we have let our lives pass us by for various reasons and we just let the sound track finish and sit in silence till one of us lets out a big sigh and goes SUCH a good movie wow and then we move on like we can continue normally with our days and it hasn’t just ripped us apart internally for the next week
