Writting the French word “elle” in cursive must be a fun little roller coaster for your pen

cursive is some bullshit. you expect me to see those squiggles and go “ah yes that’s your name”. no! that’s some scribbles you’re trying to pretend look like words and letters!

and then some asshat went “yes let’s use these barely readable lines to sign official documents” like no dude. let’s use normal handwriting for documents. this is why normal people can’t read whatever the fuck doctors are doing on their papers.

Anyone with handwriting skills? I’m usually ok but this is stumping me.

I’ve worked out “Love, kisses and a smile from John [?] Australia. Nov 1922.” For the top one.

Then “John [?] Australia Nov 1922.”

It’s the same word after John each time. Definitely looks like Ju.. maybe Junt but that makes no sense.

But it’s not June because it’s got November, not his middle name, nor is it John John.

ETA: Trying to match it with other writing on other photos there is a chance it ends with a T but Junt/Jeent/Jient is as daft as any other guess. Brief potential that it was from but it seems to definitely be a J at the start on the first photo, even if the second one is iffy.

no no. you misunderstand. I do not write in cursive because “it’s an important life skill” or some other boomer reason. I write in cursive because no one can read my handwriting otherwise
