Shout out to my Daddio, James Vincent Blaha. ✨♥️✨
Happy Father’s Day, Daddio! 🎉🎊♥️✨
Of all of my Daddio’s qualities that I respect and appreciate so much, one stands out to me right now for our current world:
My dad has never demoralized another human being to grow his money, status, ego, or to put himself above another.
Since I was a child, I watched my Daddio offer everyone — regardless of their relationship, position or success — acknowledgement, respect, and acceptance.
He didn’t tolerate anyone putting others down. There was an actual, “No put-downs!” rule in our home.
I loved that rule. I love all radical rules that empower our planet and humanity.
Though an accomplished actor, he never acted like a friend to take advantage of anyone. He just became a friend because that’s what you do.
He couldn’t conceive of using or taking advantage of anyone by pretending to be a friend for some kind of illusory pretense or selfish gain.
At the dinner table each night, Daddio would often ask each of his 6 kids to share 1 positive experience they had that day.
If any child began complaining about a person at school or elsewhere, my Daddio would ask if we knew what was going on for that person in his/her life.
He would regularly encourage his kids to consider the shoes others were standing in to understand, rather than harshly or rashly judge, others.
Imagine if more Daddios were in leadership positions today for corporations and businesses of all kinds. Even governments.
Daddio, I’ll keep wildly imagining. Because you inspired this in us, as well.
Thank you for all of the non-judgment you’ve held all of these years for 10’s of 1,000’s of people whose lives you graced with your welcoming acceptance.
Love you, Daddio!
Thank you for Everything! 🙏🏽♥️✨✨✨
