The mere presence of left-handedness appears to challenge Darwin’s principles. As per the evolutionary theory of natural selection (put simply), a species ought to keep traits crucial for perpetuation and propagation, letting go of those that offer little utility. Nonetheless, approximately ten percent of individuals persistently cultivate superior skill in their left hand, a proportion that has…
Left-Handed People Are More Competitive, Says Science
The very existence of left-handedness seems to defy Darwin. According to the theory of evolution by natural selection (in very simplified terms), a species should retain the characteristics necessary for survival and reproduction and discard those that are not very useful. And yet around 10 percent of people continue to develop greater dexterity in their left hand, a rate that has remained stable…

I’m so happy I got this super cool Freja skin before it’s gone next week qwq
I also got the last 3000 comp points from drives and decided to get the jade weapon variant instead of the gold, and I’m glad I did! It looks odd on some skins but I do really like how it stands out, especially on the sharky babies 💖 Gold will be my next objective uwu
Sorry that my competitive update posts are getting repetitive and maybe annoying but I’m having so much fun and Juno means the world to me, so I have to show her off like a proud mama 💖
I ended up choosing that over gold because I think it stands out more. She’s so cuteeee!!!
The sharkies are galaxy, too!
If I get to the 3000 competitive points awarded in drives, I’ll get her gold weapon! Or I’ll get a galaxy weapon for Zenyatta because I have his Bathmaster skin and it turns his ducks into lil galaxy ducks lol
My cat is better than my raked teammates at least she know how to push forward (Charging into rooms she doesn’t belong in as soon as the door cracks open)
Sprint City is gearing up to hit Steam Deck, Linux, and Windows PC, bringing fast, competitive 2D platformer energy. And it’s all powered by the creative grind of Second Stage Studio. And its also working its way onto Steam Early Access soon.
The team behind SpeedRunners is back with a new obsession waiting to happen. It’s called Sprint City. It’s also shaping up to be a high-speed multiplayer parkour game built entirely around momentum, mastery, and flow. A Steam Early Access release is due to go live in Q1 2026.
If you live for clean movement, tight controls, and shaving milliseconds off your runs, this one is due to get native support.
We are using Defold and we will support Linux natively for the Steam Deck.
Second Stage Studio is planning native Linux support, with Steam Deck also in the crosshairs. That’s a really good sign, especially since the game is being built in Defold, which is already showing support on SteamDB.
Sprint City brings competitive parkour speed to a shared world
Gameplay takes place in a vibrant solarpunk city where wheels don’t exist and the streets aren’t the focus, the rooftops are.
This is a movement-first game where sprinting is only the beginning. Since players will chain together parkour skills like wall-running, grappling, and swinging. This helps maintain speed and carve the perfect route through districts built entirely for on-foot racing.
The game’s core design philosophy is straightforward: movement should feel fast, fluid, and addictive. And also winning should come from skill, not luck.
Movement and momentum are the whole game
Unlike a traditional platformer where levels are just obstacles, Sprint City sounds like it’s trying to become a full movement playground.
Every rooftop path, shortcut, and hidden route has a design for players who want to master momentum. The devs describe it as a game about “flow,” and from what they’re promising, it’s going to reward players who get obsessed with perfect lines and clean execution.
In other words: if you miss a grapple or clip a wall wrong, you’ll feel it instantly. But if you hit your rhythm? You’ll fly.
Multiplayer races, free-roam, and leaderboards
One of the biggest hooks is how multiplayer works.
Sprint City is taking place in a single shared world, meaning players will naturally run into others as they explore and race. The game will seamlessly connect nearby players, while allowing you to compete without the constant lobby cycling that kills momentum in a lot of online games.
Players will be able to:
free-roam across the city with others online
take on time-based challenges
race for leaderboard rankings
compete across districts built for speedrunning routes
The focus is clearly on competitive movement — the kind that turns casual sessions into heated rematches.
Sprint City | Official New Game+ Showcase Trailer
Steam Early Access in Q1 2026
The developers have confirmed Sprint City is releasing in Steam Early Access in Q1 2026. Due to give players an early chance to explore the city, compete online, and help shape the game as the 2 year development continues.
This also includes Steam play and free browser invites
Here’s a feature that’s going to matter a lot for keeping the game active: Sprint City will support Steam play and browser play.
Steam owners will be able to invite friends to join for free through a browser, with no download required. That also makes it incredibly easy to pull friends into races instantly. This setup is perfect for a movement game where the biggest selling point is how it feels to play.
Customization, gear unlocks, and a high-tempo soundtrack
While speed and skill are clearly the main attraction, gameplay includes progression and style elements.
Players can unlock gear and customize their character between races. The competitive 2D platformer game will feature a soundtrack of original high-tempo music designed to match the pace of the gameplay.
Linux gamers are going to want to hear this part loud and clear. Sprint City is also due to make its way onto Linux, along with Steam Deck and Windows PC.
That’s a big deal for performance-focused players, and for anyone who likes their 2D platformer competitive games running clean on open platforms.
alright, so it’s been years and Whamageddon hasn’t really seen any major updates, and this year is no exception, so doll proposes a new one for next year.
The standard rules to Whamageddon apply of course:
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM’s Christmas classic; “Last Christmas”.
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th. Use your local timezone, if you’d like.
Only the original version applies. Enjoy the ?#!$&%! out of remixes and covers.
Only now, let’s introduce an additional set of rules, including a lives system, a points system, a score multiplier, and a “player kills” system.
Let’s give you 3 lives, meaning you can recognize the original song playing a total of 3 times before you’re out of the game.
Each day you survive per life grants you 1 point, and a score multiplier. This multiplier doesn’t increase your points per day, we’re about to get into that.
Your losses in Competitive Whamageddon can deal splash damage! If you intentionally play the song to inflict it on others, you can count your number of “confirmed kills” and multiply it by your current score multiplier. add this number to your total score, subtract a life, and reset your score multiplier to 1.
Much like standard Whamageddon, this lasts from the beginning of December 1st until the end of December 24th, or until you’re out of the game. You may use your local timezone.
