Yeah, it’s fucking awful to tag people in posts and bash them online. That is absolutely not their fault. And I feel the need to clarify that. The person who tagged them and made that post can go fuck themselves.
however, it’s annoying as all hell to just say “I don’t get it” and have people swarm you to counterpoint like OKAY I NEVER EVEN SAID IT WAS BAD. I NEVER SAID YOUR SHIP SUCKED. I just said “I don’t get it.”
If you want me to respect your opinion, I’m gonna need you to respect my general LACK of opinion. I do not have strong feelings about cherrybomb, so there shouldn’t be a problem. It has significance to you, and that’s great! It just doesn’t have significance to ME.

You aren’t silly for loving cherrybomb and expressing it, so why am I silly for being neutral on it and expressing it? I don’t have huge feelings on godmode either, so it’s not like I’m that biased. By making a post like that, you group people in that don’t absolutely love and defend cherrybomb with their lives. “You don’t love my ship and you said you didn’t so you’re silly” just comes off as so condescending and hypocritical and I wanted to point that out.
freedom to love a ship should come with freedom to not give a damn about it.
