Everything Equally Participates In Existence.
If every element of the cosmos from galaxies, rocks, bacteria, to humans has exactly the same meaning simply by existing, then meaning becomes identical with being. The statement “this has meaning” would effectively reduce to “this exists.” Philosophically, that move has been made before. In the system of Baruch Spinoza, everything that exists is a mode of a single substance (nature). Nothing is metaphysically privileged; every entity expresses the same underlying reality in a different form. From that perspective, a rock and a human are equally real expressions of the same substance.
But notice what happens, once meaning is equated with existence itself, it no longer helps us differentiate anything. It becomes a universal property shared by all things equally. Many philosophers therefore say something slightly different. They argue that meaning emerges only when a system can evaluate states of the world, that is, when something can matter to a system. Living organisms do this constantly. Hunger makes food meaningful; danger makes safety meaningful; curiosity makes knowledge meaningful. These evaluations are tied to the organism’s structure and survival. That is why biological and social life are full of distinctions between better and worse actions.
The cosmic view dissolves those distinctions at the largest scale. If every event from war, cooperation, creation, to destruction is equally an expression of the same cosmic process, then from that vantage point none of them is ultimately better or worse. They are simply different configurations of matter and energy evolving according to physical laws, including processes such as increasing entropy.
The interpretation becomes interesting is in its aesthetic dimension. Instead of concluding that this equality makes everything meaningless, we can conclude that it makes everything equally meaningful. That move is closer to a form of philosophical naturalism or pantheism where the idea that every entity participates in the same universal unfolding.
There is a subtle consequence, however. If meaning is identical for all things, then the differences in value we experience inside life, for example, justice versus cruelty, knowledge versus ignorance must come from the perspective of the organisms themselves, not from the cosmos as a whole. Humans rank actions because certain behaviors support the stability of human life and societies. The universe itself neither prefers nor condemns them.
So the position can be summarized that at the cosmic level, everything equally participates in the same unfolding reality; nothing has a privileged meaning over anything else. At the organism level, living systems generate distinctions of value because their continued existence depends on them. That combination is actually quite philosophically sophisticated. It keeps the grandeur of a unified cosmos while still explaining why human beings care intensely about particular outcomes.
Reproductive cycle of cattle
The cow’s reproductive cycle (estrous cycle) lasts an average of 21 days (range 18–24) and is a continuous, polyestrous process of four stages—proestrus, estrus (heat), metestrus, and diestrus. Key hormonal drivers are estrogen (driving heat behavior) and progesterone (maintaining pregnancy), aimed at preparing the uterus and maturing a follicle for ovulation.
NADIS +4
Key Stages of the 21-Day Cycle
Proestrus (Days 17–21): The Corpus Luteum (CL) regresses, progesterone drops, and a new dominant follicle grows rapidly, producing high estrogen.
Estrus (Day 0/Heat): High estrogen levels cause standing heat (behavioral signs, restlessness, standing to be mounted). Ovulation occurs ~12–30 hours after the start of standing heat.
Metestrus (Days 1–5): Ovulation occurs and the Corpus Luteum (CL) (CL) begins to form at the site of the ruptured follicle.
Diestrus (Days 5–17): The CL is fully functional, producing high levels of progesterone to prepare the uterus for pregnancy. If no embryo is present, the uterus releases prostaglandin
, causing the CL to regress and starting a new cycle.
Key Reproductive Features
Polyestrous: Cows cycle continuously year-round until pregnant.
Follicular Waves: 2 to 3 waves of follicles grow during each cycle.
Pregnancy: If fertilized, the embryo prevents CL regression, maintaining high progesterone.
Puberty: Occurs between 10–12 months of age.

I think I’ve seen some theories that the casino scene could be a flashback (or, at least, as much of a flash “back” as the other visions are, haha) floating around!
I do kind of like the theory that Lufel is a previous Wonder; I think I’ve maybe brought up that idea before? At minimum, I know there’s at least a theory post or two somewhere on this blog mentioning that, whether or not I was the one who said it, haha. I think that idea would have more significance to the game’s plot and characters than the “Lufel is Lucifer” theory, which, while a fun concept, doesn’t seem to have as much inherent meaning in the Persona universe or really indicate much about Lufel, by comparison?
I’m not sure it’s my end-all-be-all theory, but Lufel being a past Wonder is definitely a theory I personally enjoy, haha!

The Mundari cattle herders of South Sudan have their own ‘ecosystem’ which has a small ecological footprint. Their relationship to their cattle is symbiotic. They gather the cattle dung, dry it, fuel their fires and use the ash to massage the Ankole Watusi cattle as a means of mitigating against insect bites. They cover themselves in ash for the same reason. To see the camp at dawn and dusk with smoke and ash in the air, with the golden light creating an almost ethereal scene is something to behold.
