Music: Dream by Christopher Larkin (from Hollow Knight) -> I like the vibe of this song! It fits this chapter so well in my opinion. Also, explaining this in case some of you don’t know the game: this is a song you can hear in the Dream Realm. You get there when you reach the end of a zone where you find a dreamer (the dreamers are three beings who basically sealed the final boss of the game). You need to use a weapon called the Dream Nail to get into the Dream Realm. And this Realm’s vibe is just what I’m describing at the end of the chapter with the light that separates worlds, like a veil between the surface and the Caves. (Also, you can enter the Dream Realm by using the Dream Nail next to a spirit :3)

✯ Inspiration ✯

First of all, here is the Dream Realm from Hollow Knight. As I said, the lighting in this Realm is similar to the lighting which I described at the end of this chapter.

I don’t have much to say about this chapter. However, I do want to add a drawing here that inspired me a lot when writing about the giant statues. It is a detail of my fic which I like a lot (I recommend you guys click on the pictures to see them better!).

My favourite boys just made a decision that will change their lives… The journey begins next chapter ;)

✯ Inspiration ✯

The Caves are the very first place I imagined for my fic! Initially, I had planned for this AU to be inspired by Greek mythology, before I got carried away and created my own universe.

The Caves are divided in regions that don’t always look the same. There is the sea, the land… Next chapter will reveal new places in the Caves!

I discovered a real cave that reminds me of the Caves I wrote about: the Reed Flute Cave, Guilin, Guangxi, China. There is a specific picture which reminds me of the description I make of Akaashi’s glow in this first chapter…

I also got a few references for Akaashi’s clothes which I searched for after writing this chapter… I like to think that his clothes are very flowy and could either be a dress or very loose pants.

I particularly like the colours of the first outfit, and that these clothes make the silhouette a bit blurry because it is covered by many translucent layers of fabric which create these kinds of hues. The shape of the third outfit looking like waves is something that I would like to describe about Akaashi’s outfit too. Also, I like to imagine that his outfit wouldn’t necessarily cover his shoulders so I like these pictures because they give you different ideas of what such clothes would look like.
