Ok, so!
This is what i’ve been going through with qobuz!
Get ready for a wall of text, because i got it for you!

[[MORE]]It all started when they completely fucked the downloads sloppy style on mobile. It just crashed the app. I logged out, cleared cache, changed storage, but no. screw me sideways. Anyway, i send them an email (as one does), but since im impatient, i need my songs downloaded NOW. And all my downloads were wiped in the troubleshooting process. Walks arent the same without my jams, y'know?
So I find a post by qobuz itself on their webpage: “INTRODUCING QOBUZ DOWNLOADER!!!” Well, that’s just what I need! “We know some users are having issues with downloading, so we’re making a centralized app for it”
Well that’s amazing! Just my problem! It’s a good thing this didn’t take me hours on end! Now, where’s that download link? No, none? Well, I assume it’s on the play store! Nope, not there either… Can’t find it anywhere, infact…
So, i forget about it and look into qbdlx mobile. I download it. but for some reason, it doesnt accept my credentials. So, i figure “eh, must be misremembering as always, ill change it” I change it thrice. doesnt work.
Now im getting pissed, so i open up my computer at the lovely hour of 10:50 PM and download QBDLX on it aswell. Also doesnt work. So i figure “Ill try with my auth key” but the jokes on me, because qobuz doesnt make that easily accessible! In fact, you need o email them for that!
So i search up how to, y'know, obtain it, and nothing. Hold on though, they have a telegram group! Because why the hell not! So, I download telegram onto my computer and log in which for some reason was also a slight pain. Anyway, i gain access and ask my question. Which is completely ignored by some cryptic message about cologne (??? i am just as confused as you are)
So, that’s a dead end. whatever. i try whatever the hell “App ID and Secret” is, and great news, i apparently have this! From qobuz-dl, which i already have downloaded! Awesome sauce!
It was, in fact, not awesome sauce
because it still doesnt work.
Back on my phone, i try to login, but now instead of using the built in google login, i attempt to use the email field. Which prompts me… to make a new account. with the email i already have an account with.
Im so confused, like whaaaat? is my account gone? i try to log in with google and no, everything is there. I check my account settings, they are linked, what’s the issue? Is this why nothing works and i have to use my token? Probably is.
So i ignore that side quest and download a modified QBDLX, which might help, but apparently now the auth key isnt enough, i need my app ID (whatever that is). But fortunately, there is a guide! Aha! My woes are over, and i shall finally hop back up all these rabbit hole layers ive gone through! Huzzah!
“Step 1: Login to play.qobuz.com” Sounds easy enough. I enter the web, press login, select my gmail… and im back at the login screen. confusing… maybe NoScript is screwing something up, so i temorarily enable what wasnt enabled (on both play.qobuz and the login site), and… nothing again. Even changing the url doesnt work.
woah, now theres more websites being bloced by NoScript? Where’d they come from? whatever. I enable them, and i get a cookies popup. That was probably the issue, it could store my credentials in a cookie, so the login page couldnt transfer the information to play.qobuz.
i accept cookies, log in, and take a wild fucking guess. it dont work. back at the login screen. wowza. amazeballs.
so thats where i am now. 20 abraca-billion kilometers down a rabbit hole with a rock and a shovel trying to do what seems to be the equivalent of splitting the atom, and only being able to dig deeper. Will i get out? Will i get my token? Will qobuz fix the issue before i do so? Will the clown show go on? find out whenever the hell this goes anywhere!
