I think overall the design was still heavily designed after the Thundera Castle from my previous post, and that one was inspired by the Grand Mosque in Instanbul.

But this one, especially being more compact, I took a page out of the Kul Sharif Mosque in Russia, Kazan. Although the stained glass is a little more French in design with the singular coloured panels rather than glass tapestries.

I do plan on branching out the architecture, as I do wish to draw prominent buildings from each culture the story comes across, just for now I’m having a blast recreating Thundera and giving it a more prominent identity.
