Letting Behavior Speak

I used to ask questions I already knew the answers to.
“Do you care?”
“Are we okay?”
“Where do I stand?”
But clarity doesn’t come from interrogation.
It comes from observation.
So I stopped pressing for reassurance.
Stopped pulling words out of silence.
Stopped translating mixed signals into hope.
And I watched.
Effort speaks.
Consistency speaks.
Respect speaks.
So does avoidance.
So does withdrawal.
So does convenience dressed up as connection.
I don’t need declarations anymore.
I read patterns.
Because behavior is honest in a way words rarely are.
If someone values me,
it shows in presence.
In steadiness.
In how gently they handle my heart.
And if they don’t —
that truth arrives quietly too.
No dramatic endings.
No villain speeches.
No emotional courtroom.
Just information.
And information is power.
So I let actions tell the story.
I let time reveal intention.
I let silence expose what effort can’t hide.
I no longer chase clarity.
I allow it.
