Okey-doke!
9. What time of day do you prefer to write? (Day, Night, etc)
I mostly write on weekends or after school during the day/afternoon, but I often stay up past 9 just tappin away at my computer while everybody else goes to bed.
20. What made you start writing?
I’ve been making up stories in my head since I was little. I remember gathering up my toys and having them act out the most random stuff (I actually recall reenacting the movie Trolls with my mom’s old troll dolls (Not kidding! She even has old My Little Ponies! Y’know, the ones that look like actual horses). Then I got obsessed with HTTYD 3 as it was being announced and coming out, and I made entire comic books about the love story between Toothless and the Light Fury (who I gave a multitude of names, mostly Luna bc that’s what everybody called her at the time). So I’ve been making fanfiction since I was ten.
I also wrote a comic about Moana being raised by dragons/dinosaurs. Yes, I was a dinosaur girl.
It was only when I got my Chromebook for middle school that I started to put all my ideas (mainly TWOF stuff) into words. It was very cringey and very much a ripoff of The Land of Stories (which much of the story is based off of), but six years passed and I was more mature and smart and knew how to write a certain way that WASN’T cringey but still me, and here we are!
22. What is one of your favorite tropes to write?
Talking animals. I’ve always been drawn to stories exploring interspecies relationships (friendships and romances alike). I actually have the first two books of Dungeon Academy (a DnD-bases series about a human raised as a minotaur among monsters), and as we know TWOF is packed with sentient creatures. It’s actually what moved me to build more on my TLNF AU, where the dragons both have their own language and can speak human tongues.
