Genre: Comedy, Drama, Life, Romance
Main Actors: Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Joo Bin, Cha Seo Won, Cho Jun Young, Lee Jae In
Plot: Yoon Bom is a quiet, standoffish exchange teacher from Seoul in the seaside village of Shinsu. She meets a student’s uncle, Sun Jae Gyu, a tough-looking man the villagers think poorly of. The two start to hit it off and resolve issues from their respective pasts. (8/10)
Relationship: The main couple are super sweet and supportive, deal with their issues pretty maturely, and had great chemistry. The second lead couple(?) of the high schoolers was not boring and I thought they were pretty cute as well, though significantly less mature since they’re younger than the main leads. (I saw a bunch of people disliked them but I think they’re just haters and forget what it’s like to be kids.) (9/10)
Characters: Everyone was super fun to watch, even the snippets of the supporting cast we were shown. They weren’t just 2D background characters there to prop up the leads (but didn’t overtake the leads’ screentime, either, imo) (Shoutout to Philip for being the realest, ily) (8.3/10)
Favourite Quote/Scene: The entire field trip to the power plant was hilarious.
Final Thoughts: This was not the most cerebral, plot-heavy show. It’s a quick, fun watch with lots of cute and funny moments, fulfilling its romcom duties well. I’d recommend it as a palate cleanser between thrillers or intrigue-heavy historical dramas. It’s definitely a good watch! (9/10)
watching spring fever and this show is SO goofy. day 1 of waiting for his nephew to graduate and he comes home drenched in sweat and asks him if he’d rather just get his ged instead

ALTI woke up and decided it’s time for a new season of the Bottomless Pit Diaries: WHERE ARE MY NOMS?!
aww spring fever was so good! was definitely looking forward to watching it every week. jae gyu was just the most perfect man lol. and show was so charming, so sweet and so not-high-stakes and such an easy breezy watch! both our main leads had scars and traumas, and found warmth within each other. there was enough plot to get show moving along, but with no super makjang or crazy elements. i thought they would have her stalker coming back to haunt her, but they didnt even go there. i also loved how every episode had the theme of “your uncle is….” it was so on point for every episode! 10/10 rewatch value
okay a few words for both dramas i recently watched:
Spring Fever
i want to thank the insta recs for showing me the trailer for this series. and to thank myself for clicking on it and becoming interested after watching. i’m usually a bit wary of this genre, as it’s full of clichés that i don’t like. but for some reason i decided to make an exception here, and i’m so glad I did! this is a great drama to clear your head after a hard day at work and lift your spirits. yes, there are moments that will make you bury your face in your hands bc they’re kinda cringy, but then you get used to it and just laugh. i liked the light tone of the story (although there is a certain depth). the writers didn’t fuck up the ending, no, they pulled the story off smoothly to the end. the main characters are adults, they support each other and talk to each other. i also really liked the secondary characters (well, maybe except for the FL’s parents🙄), yes, that one annoying teacher too😁. and! it has a wonderful soundtrack💖
thanks to this drama for warming me on the coldest winter evenings, it’s now my comfort show💖
The Art of Sarah
my biggest mistake was starting this series literally a day after Spring Fever ended. It usually takes me 7-10 days to say goodbye to the previous series, digest it, and move on to the next one.
so we didn’t click with this drama. which is actually sad, because i was enjoying it. the script? good. the visuals? gorgeous! the actors? amazing. Shin Hyesun shines brighter than a diamond and carries this story on her shoulders. And her outfits?? chef’s kiss🔥 Lee Joonhyuk is also good, but i still have questions about his character, his past, and his motivations. overall, i think he had more interesting characters in his career (said she who, before this drama, had only seen him in Designated Survivor. 60 Days lol).
i think this is one of these shows that you need to watch two, maybe even three times. there’s too many layers. even the scene in the beginning of the first episode makes you open your eyes wide in disbelief when you watch it after finishing the drama.
I really love the theme song for spring fever. It’s so upbeat and happy and fresh and fun and just full of hope and feels like a happy ending… Just like spring lol

- Should we get our first home in Seoul or here?
- Wherever it is and whenever it is the one beside me will be you.
SPRING FEVER, EP.12
Spring Fever was so so cute, such a perfect romcom: no big dramas or at least none that make the couple question everything (like in other kdramas)
The main characters were adults in love, who truly care about each other and it was amazing
I didn’t like the Hangyul-Sejin couple, she wasn’t likeable at all and I couldn’t see why he would be so in love with her (also, I loved Junyoung in Spirit Fingers, he was so charismatic….. so why wasn’t he in this?)
10/10 would recommend to those who want a light-hearted kdrama
“I can’t stop.”
“What?”
“I’ve never cried before, so I don’t know how to stop.”
“Then try reciting the multiplication table.”
I love these two goofballs
