I propose baby snakes be called “slitherlings
Reblog if you agree!

The current proper term is “snakelets”
Slitherling is cute! It would help with more people realizing snakes are, indeed, adorable.

And while adults can be
called “nope rope”, “danger noodle” (highly venomous), spicy spaghetti (dramatic snakes like hoggies that pose no danger), spicy ramen (same as before but scrunched), judgmental shoelace (vine snake), and snek, babies should be called gummi-worms.

Language changes based on how people use it, and I fully support a shift to endearment for snakes.

Should baby snakes be called “slitherlings”?

No it’s stupid. This is all stupid.

Yes! It’s a very endearing/cute term!

Let’s not change official language, but calling them gummiworms is cute!

I… oh gods I hate making choices please just let me see the results.

Welcome home Zöe! I’m the mother of two ball pythons now, after having Daemon (my first reptile ever) for 2 and a half years ☀️

This little girl is a banana pastel leopard morph, and she’s two and a half months old!

Already she is such a curious sweetheart ☺️

Hmmm, wonder who is inheriting Daemon’s old enclosure? 🤔😊

There’s a snake in my hat

A commission for Nyan-tan of their OC Lynn. It seems she’s managed to find a really amazing snake, one who promptly decided to give her a great big squeezy hug, and to show the wizard her wonderful hypnotic eyes. Such a cool and fascinating power, one could just get lost in it until they are just melty mush in a snake’s squishy coils.
The cheeky Anika then decided she was going to try on the girl’s glasses and hat, sneaking under her hat and lifting it off of her head.
Silly wriggly snake.

Now Lynn will have to find a way out of Anika’s thick coils, but can’t really use your magic when you’re tied up and hypnotized into a fuzzy, floaty state like this.
Looks like she’ll just have to accept a break from adventuring for a bit.
