Overview of The Doctrine of Salvation

Salvation is the sovereign, gracious work of God in rescuing sinners and restoring them to Himself. Scripture presents salvation both as a finished work in Christ and as a process applied to believers by the Spirit.

Be Still: The LORD is Our Refuge (Psalm 46)

Today’s Scripture reading, Psalm 46, offers a brief departure from our study of Isaiah’s prophecies.
In this Bible study, you are encouraged to trust the LORD even when someone is determined to hurt and destroy you and your loved ones.

No Grounds for Boasting

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God —  not by works, so that no one can boast.

I know someone is feeling like this. But remember God loves you and has seen your mistakes, failures, disappointments and setbacks before you were born but He still chose you.

Hi guys! A reminder that Jesus already won the war. He rose from the dead. We are saved by his blood.

That doesn’t give us a pass to sin, but it does give us a promise that He is our only salvation. He cleansed up and died for our sins when we were still sinners!

Our sins nailed him to that cross but hear me, he’d do it again for you if you were the only being on this Earth. That’s how much He loves you and so much more.

So next time when the enemy attacks you, just remind yourself and him that Jesus’ got your back and He loves you. God bless

Just fixing his eyes on me, as if he knew all my heart, he said, “Young man, you look very miserable.” Well, I did; but I had not been accustomed to have remarks made from the pulpit on my personal appearance before. However, it was a good blow, struck right home. He continued, “and you always will be miserable—miserable in life, and miserable in death,—if you don’t obey my text; but if you obey now, this moment, you will be saved.” Then, lifting up his hands, he shouted, as only a Primitive Methodist could do, “Young man, look to Jesus Christ. Look! Look! Look! You have nothin’ to do but to look and live.”
—Charles Spurgeon on his conversion; cited in Chang, Spurgeon the Pastor, 13.
