Training Update

Relias will be offering a free webinar Tuesday Oct 10 at 12 noon CDT (1 pm EDT). The main topic will be the creation and modification of Hierarchy folders.  To attend this free webinar click here and use meeting number 647 633 260 and the toll free phone number 855-282-6330

We would also like to remind agencies of the procedure and forms for linking training through the use of Relias Master Account functionality as we do not do transcript transfers unless the previously completed training is from outside the TNDIDD Relias system.   For the form to request linking use the DIDD internet training site at http://tn.gov/didd/web-based-training and use the steps below:

o   When creating a profile at your agency for someone who has completed Relias training at another Tennessee Waiver or CHOICES program Provider Agency

o   Click Users tab and search for the learner by changing default to ALL to ensure you don’t have an old profile for the learner in your site already – search by name then numbers as some user ID’s were created incorrectly

o   If found, just click the name and update date of hire and other pertinent information, change status to active and save.

o   If not found, create a profile as you would for any other learner - using naming convention guidelines.

o   Click Training and  Enrollment tab and assign training per requirements grid per job title (this step must be done or linking will not match training with current requirements)

o   Complete the Master Account Request type-in form found at above link and send it to the DIDD.ISQA@tn.gov help desk mailbox

o   Be sure to include a personal non-agency email for the learner on the form

o   Ask if staff already has a master account set up – if YES then ask if they know the 8 character password they created when they made the Master account.  (this is not the password – 4 characters, that they use when doing assigned training)

o   If they know the 8 character password they can create the link to your agency profile upon first log in, without submission of Activation Request Form to Relias help desk

o   If they do not know that 8 character password then be sure to mark NO on the form and submit it by email

Your request will be handled by the TNDIDD helpdesk upon receipt of the form and we will let you know when the link is completed.

Training Update

Relias has announced they will be updating their Relias Connect pages next week.  In April, the pages will have a new look, but the functionality and access to the electronic user manual and recorded and live training opportunities will still be available through the Support Center tab/page.

Relias is offering a third Webinar on Workplace Violence.  This one is named Beating Workplace Violence: Assess, Defend and Survive, and it will be offered Wednesday April 6 (2 PM EDT, 1 PM Central) with toll free audio at 1/855-282-6330 with access code 641-421-102.  Click here to register for the webinar.  If you cannot attend, the webinar will be recorded and available at http://www.reliaslearning.com/webinars within 48 hours of the presentation.

The regional global administrators would like to remind everyone with security roles above learner level that managing your compliance requires inactivating staff right away when they leave your agency, reviewing enrollments in the required curricula per the training requirements document on the DIDD website training page, and managing your shared learners.  Please contact the Relias helpdesk at DIDD.ISQA@tn.gov when you have new training supervisors so they can be trained and given rights.

Training Update

Please take note that the Relias LMS will be unavailable all day on Saturday, February 27th, from 12:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. This downtime is part of scheduled routine maintenance.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.  This system maintenance is needed to allow us to continue to serve you all at the highest possible level.

Discovery, or Discovering Personal Genius, is an essential component of Customized Employment. Through discovery, support staff and members of an employment seeker’s employment team get to know an individual, exploring their emerging and resident skills and tastes, interests, vocational themes, ecological fit, ideal conditions for employment, personal attributes, and potential contributions to a business.  Relias is offering a free webinar on this topic Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1 p.m. Eastern/ 12 noon Central where you can learn:

  • The key components of Discovery
  • How to conduct Discovery activities

  • How Discovery drives job development

Click this link to register.  If you can’t attend you will be forwarded the recording as long as you register.

Training Update

Relias has announced a system wide shut down all day Saturday, February 27, 2016. We regret any inconvenience this may present to our agency partners.  Please share this announcement with all your staff so any training courses due before February 27 can be addressed before the system goes down for maintenance.

Gamification was turned on last weekend, and several people have called about the tutorial course for gamification with its one question test that was assigned by the system to all learners.  This training is to help staff understand how the coins and points are earned, and Relias has assured us that there is no effect on agency training compliance if learners do not complete the tutorial.  Staff can just click out of the tutorial and the due date disappears. Gamification requires no action on the part of the training administrator at sub-portal agencies, and the leader board can be turned off, per your request, allowing staff to still earn points and coins strictly for fun.  Other Relias clients have shown an increase in training compliance rates through the gamification functionality.

The last Relias free training webinar dealt with some of the new functionality recently added to our Relias site.  One of the new features is an On Leave button.  Though it appears easy to use, we are comparing the Relias On Leave button functionality with the current recommended best practice of in-activating staff who are on extended leave.  Inactivating learners cancels their due dates so they do not affect compliance, but curriculum must be reassigned when they return from leave. The On Leave button limits staff access to the system while on leave but keeps them active so when they return to work, and the on Leave status is turned off, their missed training due dates show up as an “out of compliance.”  We are discussing with QA and will let you know our recommendation best practice for staff on extended leave.
