Elpis Awakened (Elpis? More Like Helpis)

Heeeeey, so instead of updating my ongoing fics I decided to make a new one!

This is duo to my recurring obsession with Resident Evil and most importanly Leon S. Kennedy. Aging did not stop me from thirsting all over but also the angst was soooo good. And I wanted to give my boy a happy ending and fuck the goverment.

Summary

Amelia Sterling, a 23-year-old from 2026, is enjoying a peaceful self-care weekend and the latest Resident Evil 9 game when a sudden, blinding burst of light pulls her into another dimension. Initially disoriented, in her pink pajamas and bunny slippers, she finds herself in the middle of a city, colliding with Claire Redfield and coming face-to-face with a visibly older, battle-hardened Leon Kennedy.

Before she can fully process what’s happening, a holographic figure of Oswell Spencer appears, addressing her by name. Spencer’s AI legacy, Project Elpis—which was apparently more than just a cure—has chosen Amelia as his heir to continue his mission to prevent global bioweapon tragedies, tragedies he himself began.

Torn between distrust of the literal creator of Umbrella, the responsibility of knowing the future, and the chance to save Leon and Sherry, Amelia finds herself completely out of her depth, forced to navigate a dangerous world she only thought she knew from a video game.

Words: 3,002, Chapters: 2/?, Language: English.

i hope you enjoy!

  1. As a professor, you made it a point to get to know the gym leaders of Paldea, since their prowess with pokemon would surely be able to help with your research. Iono was no exception.
  2. She sure had a lot of energy, and every time you talked, she kept trying to get more energy out of you, too. It was a constant “fight” between you and her, since you could never have that much.
  3. Since you tended to avoid battling whenever you could, and you weren’t even much of a fan of watching it, you tuned in to Iono’s non-battle streams when you could. It was nice to hear her voice from time to time.
  4. The thing was, Iono liked hearing your voice, too, so when she wasn’t streaming or battling, she called you. Even if you were doing some observational research, a conversation partner was always welcome.
  5. It occurred to you that you spoke to Iono more than any of the other gym leaders, which…well, you didn’t have too much time to overthink it. Might as well just let it be, right?

Finished this gem last night! I really loved this debut novel from Jennette McCurdy! Her writing is raw and brutally honest and Waldo is a character unlike any I’ve read before. I cannot wait to read more from Jennette in the future!

Sorry for the delay in replying

Honestly, I can’t imagine how Uta and the apothecary would react to each other, I didn’t like the movie

I found it boring and I didn’t get very attached to the character, so I can’t write about her

Maybe I’ll rewatch the movie someday and change my mind, but for now I’m not interested in anything involving her

I yearn to be thought of as fondly as a fanfic who has been abandoned years before, and the reader is still praying for another update.
