It occurred to her that many girls, upon being summoned to the side of their husband-to-be, might pinch some color into their cheeks or place a dab of rose water along their collarbone. Whereas Serilda was tempted to sneak a dagger into her stocking on the chance she might have an opportunity to stick it into her betrothed’s throat.

This thrift store find was exciting for me today — not because it’s worth a fortune (it isn’t), but because I had this book as a child and have tried looking for it at mom’s before but to no avail. My old copy is probably tucked away in a box somewhere but now I have this too!

Just finished reading The trouble with lemons im honestly trying to work on just reading more so finding books that I have had lying around for the ages has been really convenient. Honestly I think its good It was intrigued me more with mystery I really want to read somthing more mature reading also really slowly pushes me into wanting to write. But Im not so sure where to start for I’ll probably will just search some good mystery stories and start from there and keep on thinking about things I’d like to write down. Besides that feeling proud of myself I tried consistently reading yo work on reading stamina I’ve never really been able to sit down and read a whole book in one sitting so yeah I read consistently sort of.

Overall i liked it mainly cause i root for characters i see myself in like oh yeah I remember how that feels seeing somone go from being down and then being up is really just heartwarming everytime.

ROMANCE IDEA

You hire a hitman with yourself as the target out of sheer desperation. But as soon as they realize. They can’t help but want to help you. Instead of making you their target, they visit you in the nights, keeping watch and using their skills as a hunter to protect you from yourself. Whether in the end you be happy or not is still up for debate in my head cause I don’t know if I want this to be angst or fluff.

My best tip for anyone trying to get back into reading is to remember that you can read books to avoid other responsibilities in your life, and it can become a vice if you play your cards right.
