Dean and Louise having cíoch moment. Louise showing her right or left cíoch.
In the scene Dean and Louise are spending time together during a red side party. Louise gets out her East or West cíoch to show Dean. Because it is eager give Dean some two two.
“Say hello” said Louise. Dean looks at the cíoch like his been hypnotised. The cíoch looks up at Dean. “Hello there” he said to her cíoch. The cíoch skaked with excitement, like it’s saying hello. Dean and Louise smiled, laughed at the cíoch shake. Dean touches it, Louise looks at him in a calm way. Dean gently feels it and squeezes it. Music is playing in the background, hip hop music playing. Dean moves the cíoch up and down,he shakes it. Making it jiggle, Louise laughs. Dean let’s go off it. Letting the cíoch move by itself up and down to the rhythm of the music. Like it’s dancing. Dean moves his head to the music. “Mmmmh!” said Dean. Louise laughs.
My history with this song:
I remember enjoying it early on cause it’s so catchy lol
Thoughts:
“Come Back…Be Here” is sort of the opposite of “The Moment I Knew” for me, where I don’t think it’s doing anything particularly special but it just fundamentally works for me, capturing the heartbreak of long-distance and even to some extent of shame over already caring so much about someone you hardly know.
It’s melodically lovely, well-delivered, catchy and heartfelt.
MEMORY! “I told myself don’t get attached / But in my mind I play it back / Spinning faster than the plane that took you” which calls back to “Red” with the mention of the memory/flashback specifically spinning.
I also think “I don’t wanna need you this way” is kind of a philosophy of love, falling squarely on the “no” of whether getting swept away is a choice. Also “The feeling you can know so much without knowing anything at all”
Favourite lyric: “Taxi cabs and busy streets that never bring you back to me”
Favourite melodic line: man this song sounds so lovely, but I think it once again goes to the pre-chorus, especially “Spinning faster…”
Favourite production element: there’s these awesome sliding guitars in the background from the second verse on and they’re actually really cool
