Some vicious lefts from Rob Brant on Ryota Murata
Another week with Punch, the young macaque at Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. This week, he was seen playing with other monkeys, copying their habits, learning how toys work, and sometimes relaxing on his own.
One viral clip showed him getting pushed away by a group; it’s a reminder that Japanese macaque society has strict social rules. But other monkeys are still playing with him, and slowly Punch is finding his place.

I don’t think that monkey is having a good time
(Molespignoses on redbubble, see notes!)
I really like how they wrote Punch/Counterpunch.
He’s so integral to the story that not only does he probably know what’s going on more than anyone else, but he’s also the narrator.
And yet.. most the time when we see him in scenes.. he looks more like a background character than anything else. (He’s the guy on the left btw)

Which makes sense because he’s a spy. He’s not really supposed to be noted.
Another thing is that the Decepticons in power just let him see their schemes and betrayals, never stopping to think who they’re showing it to.

And it makes sense, they all think he’s working for them, he won’t snitch.
I find it genius. I’d kill for another story with him like this.
If I ever find a use for him in a fic or something I’m definitely incorporating it into the plot.
