“My name is Spencer and I am 20 years old from Winnipeg, Manitoba (in Canada)!
I am a transgender male, meaning when I was born they stamped an "F” on my birth certificate but I identify and wish to live my life as male.
This isn’t an easy task to accomplish as I require many hours of therapy a month to cope with the realities of living life as a transgender person (which isn’t cheap).
I’m here today because I don’t know how else to go about this.
I need surgery.
I was assigned female at birth and went through female puberty which means that my chest developed like that of a woman’s - and I don’t want it. Currently there are no surgeons in Manitoba capable of removing the breasts and reconstructing a more masculine chest.
My chest is a constant struggle every day, I “bind” daily (meaning I wear compression vests under my clothing to flatten out my chest), and wear multiple layers at a time even during the warm months of the summer.
Due to the size of my chest I will need to have the double incision method of surgery. This usually requires a scar extending from underneath the existing breast fold to the lateral outside of the chest. The nipple and areola are removed, resized, and replaced as a “free nipple grafts” in a new position to give a “male” appearance to the chest.
Dr. Charles Garramone in Florida is one of the leading surgeons performing this operation and he is who I would like to go to. Should you choose to donate your money to this cause all funds raised would go toward the operation itself, and all other operation related expenses (travel costs, hotel stay while I recover and so on).
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my story and thank you to any of you who decide to donate your hard earned money on my cause.
