Mom swears she was “Mod” and it’s “Completely different than emo!” 1987

What happened to my childhood? This screams dystopian corporate, not kid friendly. What is with the artwork?! This is McDonald’s?!
I get it when artists hate their most popular works bc when I post funny comments on TikTok the least funny, most obvious, pandering ones get the most likes

Summary: You’re slowly becoming more and more whipped for Ryujin, if it’s even possible anymore. You were sick for one day and she remembered you… it can’t be anything special, or?
A/n: I looked at the pt. 1 and I was HORRIFIED how badly I wrote it imo…(ToT) I wrote it at like 11 p.m. so I think the quality is a little more understandable. Anyways, I suddenly felt that I want to make the pt. 2 after studying all day. (I hate exams)

It’s been two weeks since the new seating plan in your history class was made. You’ve talked to Ryujin a lot since then and now that you know her a little better, you’re not as nervous as before when interacting with her or even when sitting beside her and you even changed numbers! You two aren’t friends, duh. You’re a loner and she’s a popular girl. But oh, how you wish to get closer to her. You dream of being together with her but in reality, that is most likely never going to happen. The chances are so low.
You didn’t go to school today because you’re sick. You regret it, you really do. It’s not like you enjoy school, you just weren’t able to see Ryujin today. Fuck. Why are you like this? You’ve never had a crush before and now you’re just… in love. Completely. Utterly. Hopelessly in love. Or did you? You remember that one girl in your old school from a few years ago. You liked her a lot. As a friend. Or so you thought. What if she was a crush and you just didn’t realize it because you’re parents have taught you that the LQBTQ+ is unnatural and a choice? What if it isn’t a choice after all? Everyone always says that “you can’t choose who you love” but when it’s about the same gender which you are… suddenly you can choose? Could your mom be wrong? Possibly.
You’re eating dinner with your parents, talking about your day.
“Are you feeling better now than in the morning, sweetie?” Your mom asked.
“Yeah, a little. I think I could go to school tomorrow.” You responded just as you felt that you got a notification to your phone in the pocket of your pajamas. You pulled your phone out. Ryujin. Oh hell no. Not here. No. You felt yourself blush. Not right in front of your parents. “I’m finished. Thanks for the food, it was yummy.” You said as you hurried to your room to see what Ryujin sent to you.
“Hi. I noticed you weren’t at school today. Do you want me to send you my notes from history lesson today so you can keep up?” The message said. She was thinking about you? No, it’s completely normal. Nothing special. Or is it special? No… she’s just being nice.
You quickly responded to her: “Yeah, thanks. That would be really nice of you if you could send me the notes.” Yeah. She’s just being nice. A nice classmate.
“Will you be coming to school tomorrow, though? I’d love to have a real conversation with you, you seem cool.” …WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCKKKK… you’re hyperventilating at this point. Your crush, no, the person you love way too much to be healthy anymore since you don’t even know her that well. She wants to talk to you? Like actually talk? Like a conversation? You feel like screaming into your pillow right now. Gosh, you’re such a simp…

[Time skip to the next morning]
Wednesday. No history today… probably no talking with Ryujin and seeing her less. Just a few weeks ago, Tuesday was your least favorite day of the week. Now it’s your favorite since you sit next to Ryujin in class. You stare at yourself in the mirror and start to do your usual morning routine; skincare, makeup, hair, dress up, then breakfast.
You get to school, wandering to your locker to get your books. You didn’t sleep that well last night and now you’re a little tired. Then you feel a tap on your shoulder and you turn around.
“Hi! I’m glad you made it to school today.” Shit. You look like a zombie. Like actually. Why did THE Shin Ryujin have to come to talk to you TODAY of all days?
At some point you remember you haven’t responded to her, just stared at her in a mix of awe and outrage. Awe because she looks so majestic. Outrage because you look like you haven’t gone outside in weeks. “Uhh… yeah, I didn’t feel that sick when I woke up today so I figured I’d come to school…” you answer shyly. What happened? Two days ago you were already comfortable around her and now you’re suddenly back to square one. You were sick for one day. Spent one day at home. What the hell happened?
“So… after the seating plan changed, I’ve been wondering if I could get to know you better. You seem so chill… but I always see you alone.” So she has noticed. Great. “So you pity me? Is that the reason you want to get to know me?” You ask, suddenly defensive. “No, no… that’s not why. You genuinely seem interesting. I just wanna know why you’re always alone.” She responds, sounding panicked… as if she fears you’d reject her request… but why would you? Or I mean… uhh… I don’t know… why would you? She’s perfect and this is your chance. “Well… I’m a transfer student.” This is a big school and she’s popular. No wonder she doesn’t know you weren’t here all along. “Ohhh… so that’s why. Thanks for telling me.” She smiles. You hate that smile. Not because it’s ugly or anything. It’s pretty, too pretty. You can’t help but blush whenever she smiles. Even worse if she smiles at you.
You two talk for a moment. She’s actually chill. The bell rings and she even walks with you to your class before going to her own. What the hell is going on… why does she want to be friends with someone like you? That’s so odd…
