😒 That is some very lazy policy-making disguised as strategy. #policyandprocedures #policyreview #policyanalysis

Many people do this in various ways, take a look at social media, for example, it’s monkey-see-monkey-do. Not the best way to facilitate fresh new content or ideas.

The Life

So I sincerely adore human rights policy analysis, but after only 4.5 months I’m already feeling burned out. It seems like I’m constantly fighting against an impalpable, shifty, heavy-handed, Law goliath that can never be fully defeated because nobody wants to (or is able to fully) address factors that brought it into existence …  Especially in regards to policy on the scale of human trafficking. It intersects with so many other things; economic demand for cheap labor (see also: Slavery), political underrepresentation of women, environmental degradation, extreme poverty, government instability, war, crime, ideologic divisions.

I say this while typing on a MacBook Pro that’s charging my iPhone, wearing clothes made in Singapore probably in a sweatshop…

I’m part of the problem, and I know that I’m part of the problem, and I still can’t accurately address it. What do you do?
